  1. I am just the dreading an official message from the club this morning saying business is done. I would be disgusted. Honestly
  2. He has til COB today! Ultimately it will come down to results, but the whole "defenders are coming" stuff will rankle with me either way
  3. Now whatever about reviews of Tosin, the comments from both Newcastle and West Brom fans about are that he is shockingly poor. Surprising as I thought he was highly rated before going to Newcastle.
  4. Ha ha, I was thinking the same when I noticed some of the posters who liked mine in the last few days. Usually they would be quoting me pulling me up. The board is united! So where are these Hanly reports coming from? My prediction, we won't get Hanley, but instead the guy from QPR. Talk will be how we "fought hard but just missed out on a Premier league centre half". I really hope it's Hanley though
  5. Ya, good look with that Rich. He has over 50 comments on the tweet now ?
  6. Wait, so is the club, via Sharpe, saying that we shouldn't expect any incomings? Why clarify that if not
  7. Strange, if Magloire is the better player, I don't get why he goes but Grayson stays. Particularly as things stand.
  8. I can't see Magloire going on loan and Platt and Grayson being kept around for the first team squad. Davenport is a midfielder here. I have heard no suggestion or got no hint he would be used as a left-back Hart would have started last weekend if he wasn't injured I bet. Williams is a CB now barring no other options at left-back
  9. A bit questionable now that. Why would you put Tosin as a right-back and not centre back? Mowbray and the player said he is not being signed for right-back. Grayson and particularly Platt are miles away from the first team. Where is Magloire? Hart is ahead of Williams at left-back and I don't understand why you have Davenport there? The rest is probably close enough.
  10. The 7 games includes sub appearances. So have you actually seen him play? It's just you sounded very adamant that he was a huge upgrade on what we have. Doesn't really sound like one to me.
  11. Where have you seen Pearce play? He has started 2 championship games in his entire career.
  12. He will have to explain it, barring we are in the play-off places or not far away. If we are plodding in midtable , or worse, then no matter what has transpired to get us there, those comments he made will be biting ferociously at his ass.
  13. I will be massively underwhelmed, to put it mildly, if we don't sign at least 1 defender. It's inexcusable in my opinion. To even be where we are now is ludicrous. Between his comments about defenders coming and saying we had the same budget as last year, not signing any makes no sense.
  14. Looks like we are looking for scraps tomorrow. Hope I am wrong, but this window is looking pretty shit as of now. The lack of attention on the defence is puzzling.
  15. Very romantic view of the game and players motivations man I just think a lot of the names I recognize from that list will end up at clubs who pay more than us. Of course, I hope you are right and we could sign a good player under such terms.
  16. Ya, it all sounds very comfy for the lads. Now what are the repercussions for poor performances again?
  17. By short-term what do you mean? I don't see many players at this level signing for any duration less than a year, very occasionally 6 months. Lichsteiner and Simpson were on at least £60,000 per week up to a month ago. Plenty of the others on not much less than that.
  18. I think it is a counter attacking team. We are going to be sitting back a lot, regardless of personnel.
  19. Really though, what is the point in posting that list? Every single player on it is outside our wage structure from what I can tell. Some comically outside our budget.
  20. I don't think that is fair. Nobody makes him out to be a superstar from what I can see. His limitations are often discussed. He is our best defender though and Wilder at Sheffield united rates him, who I would say is a great judge of a player...
