  1. Some fans are using ticket prices as an excuse to not attend games, but they wouldn't attend anyway. If we supported Kean, we would not have gone down. The atmosphere from the crowd impacted on the players performance
  2. Not sure if there is a taker for this, so I will get the ball rolling. P Must win if we have any aspirations of knocking around the play-offs. From last weekend the following players were carrying knocks -Lenihan, Dack, Graham, Travis and Evans. Does anyone have an update on this? We could do with them being fit, although perhaps a shake up wouldn't be the worst call. Not an easy team to pick this week, with a couple of main bones of contention. Bennett or Nyambe, Mulgrew or Rodwell. Raya Nyambe Lenihan(c) Rodwell Bell Travis Reed Rothwell Dack Armstrong Brereton Come on Ben, make a name for yourself
  3. We need a Dave Fevre! What a signing from united he was
  4. I think he would do great in the Premier league. At least his setting us up as the underdogs for each game would actually be the case!
  5. This is what I have been thinking. There is no point waiting to fill the ground as things currently are.
  6. Great display by England. No excuses, the better team won. Hopefully that's the kick up the backside we need in a world cup year. A few people were getting a bit carried away. Very small margins between victory and defeat at that level.
  7. I dunno. 1 or 2 have said it directly and straight out like that, however I have read a good few say that they don't think he can bring us to the next level. Isn't that just a roundabout way of saying the same thing?
  8. Both struggling teams
  9. My point is very simple, the attacking substitution was the correct one, just the correct player wasn't brought on.
  10. That's a bloody awful team. You couldn't say it was too good to go down anyway, that's for sure! Anyone who says Gallagher didn't do well here, needs to look at what was supplying him from midfield.
  11. Not my point. If Smallwood was brought on for Dack and the game finished 5-2, all you would see on here is that it was "typical Mowbray being too cautious and only bringing on his favourites". The move to bring on an attacking player for Dack was the right one IMO. We needed to score next. It probably should have been Rothwell brought on though.
  12. Whats that, languish in League 1?
  13. If Mowbray brought Smallwood on instead of Dack and they scored, can you imagine what the reaction on here would be?
  14. What's this about pics in the shower now?
  15. I think it's a fair point to say that when we collapse, we collapse spectacularly. I find this interesting as this team is always disused as being close and prepared to fight for each other, great team spirit etc. I just find these collapses don't tally with this. All I saw Saturday after they scored their second was heads drop. No fight, no battle. It's frustrating when your keeper does that, but Raya is still young. The impression I got watching was that the rest of the players blamed him, dropped tools and basically gave up trying. I knew at half-time that we needed the next goal. If they scored first I knew them winning was a certainty.
  16. I suppose you could make the argument that Englands under age teams are far better now than when J - Lowe played. But you're right though, under age football is not a predictor of long term success. Ireland won the Under 18 Euros around 20 years ago, out of 22 players, only 4 played in the Premier league. Some never even made it as professionals.
  17. Can't disagree with any of that to be fair
  18. Watched Rayas clanger there again. We would have lost the game anyway, but my god it was a windy and half hearted attempt at a clearance. In a way I think we scored the two goals too early. We aren't ruthless enough under Mowbray. Never have been. We don't know how to protect a lead. We are good at chasing a team who are ahead or scoring when level. We are rubbish holding any type of lead. The only way we can do it is if the other team basically give up. When teams keep going we are too fragile and look lost as to what we should do. Maybe we just aren't good enough at patiently holding onto the ball and killing the game.
  19. Ya he could have alright, straight to league 2. I hope thats what you meant. Because otherwise you would sound very, very silly.
  20. Ya we all support the same club, some fans just get annoyed at those who knee jerk and over react after a defeat. Why do you always try and lay the law down to the former?
  21. Ya god damn Mowbray and his creating of competition! Down with that sort of thing. Careful now.
  22. That's the 2nd Raya howler that has cost us points. Good keeper, but far from the finished article.
  23. But you never mentioned any of the other subs, so you were obviously implying something
  24. We were talking about Brereton. I didn't realise he was picking the team now. That's far too much responsibility.
