Who is excited about that?
-
Can we have a deadline counter out at the top of the thread please? I really hope we get the young lad from city over the line. A lot of their fans are saying on twitter that they would like him to stay and feature for the first team.

Get off your high horse Stuart, there is enough of that

Championship player of the season? -
Pest control would be better. Lots of little pests on here. Especially passive aggresive little trolls who use eye rolling emojis
-
I know he was, I saw the picture too. He asked would we be happy with Downing and Greer as back up. I take that to mean... What it says

Jesus they did well to get him for 3 million do. Would wolves not keep him if he was so good? When did Bamford win player of the season? -
He said players to hit the ground running in the Championship, I would take that as payers who are proven at that level, the players you mention don't have championship experience and would be gamble, just like the lads we are signing on loan. My point stands. Tom Ince 12 million case and point. It seems some of ye can't even acknoedgee we are signing quality on loan or enjoy that fact, because you are so fixated on permanent transfers. The window doesn't close until late next week

Greer? Lol. Man, do some research.

Does spending time reading other clubs forums not take up a lot of your time?

A left back and an unproven striker massively improve them? They must have been bad last season -
Exactly. Teams have been promoted on the back of the right loan signings

No, he hasn't done more than Dack. Winning league 1 player of the year twice is better than being a championship journeyman -
No so they will be gambling too. Looks like we have made two great loan signings ahead of that 75%
-
Unfortunately we don't have £25 million to spend on 2 proven championship wingers.
-
Transfer window not closed The guys on loan are highly rated. What's the problem?
-
Nmecha is close enough to breaking into the man City team and is rated highly there. I don't think we will be signings anyone permanently who will be playing for City in the next year or two. So that's what I mean by "far better than what we could buy". That is of course unless Mowbray pulls another Dack out of his hat. Ya, I would see Armstrong as a winger too. I think we need a striker first and foremost. I would still like to sign Armstrong though. I think he would be a bargain at 3 million

24 now and hasn't really lived up the hype that was around him earlier in his career. Hasn't had what you could call a standout season at any level When you see deals like this it really puts into perspective the masterstroke of a signing Dack was -
Funny window. It appears that Palmer from Chelsea and Nmecha from City are far better than what we could afford to buy. So what to do? Should we sign less good players just to call them our own? The reviews of these two guys is as good as I have heard about any players going to the championship Probably going to end up signing Bauer and spending the rest on a striker. I'm guessing that Mowbray wants a more out and out striker than Armstrong, maybe someone more physical. I like Armstrong personally, so would be happy if we sign him. I just have a feeling Mowbray isn't convinced at the price quoted.

Remember the team under sparky, every second week an opposition manager was complaining about our "strong arm tactics". Mostly because they didn't get what they wanted from the game. I loved that team
-
Be a good championship signing I wonder where Sturridge will end up? At this stage there is about a 95% chance he will get injured. Will a Premier league team take him I wonder

Who knows what it would/will take for them to go. It's one of life's great mysteries -
I 1000% agree with you there. We had some toothless yellow bellies wearing the jersey since venkys took over. This current team have players that will fight tooth and nail not to lose, that's infectious on the others around them. You can even see its coming out in Graham and Bennett, who had totally lost the fight under coyle. Dack barging Everton players off the ball in a friendly is a huge testament to the type of character he is. I think he will relish playing in the championship. He's a big game player. Travis flaking into baines in a friendly likewise. You wouldn't think it by looking at him, but he's got a nasty streak in him. It's clear he doesn't like losing. I remember even one game last season a player put a late tackle in on Raya and he was straight up into the players face. Mulgrew had to pull him away. You need lads that will fight if you have any hope of finishing high up the league. We have a nice few of them now it seems
-
I like Travis a lot. Him and Dack can play , but they have a nasty streak. I like the nasty streaks I was thinking watching the game last night, Dack reminds me of a cross between Paul Gascoigne and Carlos Tevez. A great combination.
