  1. He will prob have a great game, pricing us out of a move
  2. Replying like Chaddy now eh ?
  3. On the wing or as an inside forward?? I think some fans are cracking under the pressure of waiting for another signing
  4. Ya, if we signed Gallagher on loan and McGoldrick it would be good business. I wouldn't be relying on McGoldrick I just read Bradford are in for Billy Sharp now from Sheffield United. Good little league one signing that if they can pull it off
  5. Not bad on a free, but has had major injury problems
  6. Ha ha Large it is (that's what she said!!)
  7. I really, really hope the venkys don't F*** Mowbray around on this. He is too good for it, too honest, too genuine and works too hard for the club. If they do, he should walk. I wouldn't hold it against him. Anyway, time will tell over the next 2 weeks
  8. Can't get more concrete than that Hopefully, he would be a solid loan signing. Stoke fans were getting excited about signing him for 7 million on a permanent. Armstrong and Chapman on perms along with Gallagher on loan would make me feel a lot more confident about next season.
  9. No... After 3-4 moves the club selling him would be getting nothing lol
  10. Large comes up as Large 104-109 41-43 I think that sounds best for the chest, but I just wonder would it be very long? I am 6ft. I remember I got the large yellow away jersey the season we got relegated from the premiership and it was so long it was like a dress
  11. A mixed bag there really. To me Davenport and Rotwell are more astute than most ,if not all, of them. Big couple of weeks coming up though. Currently I would give our window 4/10
  12. Did any of you order the new kit? How is it sizing wise? I have been stung in the past with sizing, sometimes medium is too small and large is much too big.
  13. Ya, or Bambi on ice as the Peterborough fans call him
  14. Must have been a shit ref that day McLean isn't a dirty player, just very committed. I guarantee if he played for us, fans would love him.
  15. Parachute money and they have had to sell a few. They are spending the money well though it seems Unfortunately there aren't ejector seat payments for launching out of League 1
  16. Their business this summer is what we should and could have done the year we got relegated from the Premiership. If Mick MCarthy or Neil Warnock were given the budget Kean had, I have no doubt we would have been promoted at the first attempt. We had a decent squad already.
  17. You could argue McLean is a Premier league player, but Ince and Afobe you would have to class as very good championship players. It just goes to show what we are up against
  18. On the flip side, what business Stoke have done. Imagine we signed Tom Ince, McLean and Afobe. 3 players in the exact positions we need filling. They cost a combined 30 million though, just to put things in perspective...
  19. True. Give me Davenport and Rothwell any day of the week I thought Wigan were taken over and had money to spend? Going off their business so far they are scraping the barrel.
  20. Believe it or not his career does occasionally get brought up on sports radio over here. So I have heard plenty of discussion on it. You are going off what your mates told you about his performances. He must not have been very good if they went down. I haven't heard of any League 1 teams, let alone Championship clubs interested either. That tells its own story.
  21. For those of you who were envious of Wigans transfer dealings, here is today's update. I can only imagine if those 3 were on trial here Darron Gibson, Ross Wallace and James Perch are all on trial at Wigan Athletic. Gibson, 30, was released by Sunderland this summer; Wallace, 33, was released by Sheffield Wednesday; Perch, 32, was released by QPR and previously played for Wigan between 2013 and 2015
  22. Playing under Coyle wouldn't help any young player, but Byrne has done badly under every manager since, barring 1 game against us. Time will tell, but I think he will be one in the "what could have been" or "where are they now?" category
  23. Very, very injury prone. If he stays fit, a very decent signing. I just don't think he will. The last few seasons have been very bad for him injury wise
  24. Except he is a league 2 player. He played well against us with a point to prove, that aside, his fall since leaving city with such high hopes has been brutal. Time will tell if he gets out of League 2
  25. Did he have a fake Degree in "Footballenomics" hanging on the wall in his office?
