  1. He really is a party pooper!! Did he actually use the phrase "isn't anything to get too excited over" It's probably not even a loan then. Be faulty harsh on the lad we are loaning if it is
  2. Not sure it is all negative. I saw a poll on twitter with 300 votes and it was 60% "like the jersey". Surprising Ya, 3 choices to vote on would be nice. What could happen then though would be "I want the collar of 3, with the sleeves of 1 and the colours of 2"
  3. That sounds like a good idea alright. Mock ups could be done pretty easily
  4. Maddison. Has to be. Announced tomorrow and unveiled at the game. Get your hopes up everyone. There is no way this isn't happening!! All joking aside, Sharp is always pretty coy until something is confirmed, so I wouldn't be surprised if the bit of info is an actual signing.
  5. Nice idea in theory, but how could it be done practically? Apart from the ugly sponsor, it's a fine jersey. Unfortunately the sponsors logo is the sponsors logo, so its unavoidable. Even a colour change would help though
  6. When did he play as a striker? I see no mention of this online. It names his position as a winger, attacking midfielder and even left back, but no mention of being a striker.
  7. I wouldn't back Villa for top 6. Too much chaos behind the scenes. They have done well to hang onto Bruce, but I wouldn't bet on him lasting the season. Ignoring the problems, we have gotten good deals for players we sold with the exception of Cairney and King and you could argue that was more on Bowyer ,as he didn't play them enough in their correct positions. Will we finish higher than them? Not the way things stand currently, but ,as you say, lets wait and see in 3 weeks time
  8. Ha ha, I recognize him now that I look at him properly alright Had never heard of McGrath Mick McGrath joined Blackburn Rovers in August 1954. He made 269 Football League appearances over the next ten years at Ewood Park. and played with players including Peter Dobing, Derek Dougan and Mike England. He helped the club win promotion to the First Division and appeared in the 1960 FA Cup Final where he scored an own goal in a 3-0 defeat to Wolves. He now lives in Blackburn and has retired after 24 years working for Thwaites Brewery.
  9. Villa are in a huge mess. The reason they rejected 5 million for Chester is because its a pathetic offer. Brentford signed a 20 year old centre half from Charlton for 5 million. Villa signed Chester for 10 million 2 seasons ago and he is a full international. Villa are desperate for cash and clubs are circling looking for a bargain, see Spurs and Leicester offering around 15 million for Grealish. They will end up selling those players under the odds one way or another. They are in financial chaos behind the scenes, there has been numerous sackings of high profile people behind the scenes. We have come through the shit storm that they are only going into now. They have a good manager in Bruce, but things are going to get a lot worse there, before they get better.
  10. Nice kit. Not sure abut the two tone collar though... Are Whelan and McGrath Irish? Apologies for my ignorance
  11. In todays market we would be doing very well to get the 2 of them for 3 million. I can't see us spending more, so fingers crossed.
  12. I think the black logo will go better with yellow than blue and white
  13. Ya, they have lfc TV and watch the under age games. Not sure if they watched him on loan. They have seen more of him than any of us though, thats for sure
  14. Rover the dog just tweeted that he is looking forward to wearing the new kit tomorrow ant that he has a special guest to look after. Regardless of the sponsor being a bit RUFF, could Rover be talking about a new signing? #morereliablethannixon
  15. It's the sponsor. If it was red or black, it would be fine. Big and black does not work
  16. If the bookies had any inkling he was coming here for definite, the odds would be a lot lower than 4/1
  17. The fact Rangers and Gerrard are/were interested in Kent is a good sign I reckon. Gerrard wouldn't be interested if he was a dud and he would have a lot of inside knowledge on Liverpool's younger players.
  18. Butty quotes one Bristol City fan on a forum who said it was like playing with 10 men in one game. He then says there are question makers over his application and attitude. I'm it sure where the attitude bit comes from? I had a read through the forum there and many fans say he is a good player. My Liverpool supporting friends tell me he is good and report no attitude problems. It seems a few of you are mentioning attitude problems, but I don't see what this is based on? If you show me, fair enough. I still think we need to sign one of Maddison and Chapman on permanents as well though. To be honest, Maddison on a perm and Chapman on loan again would be ideal. I do hope Kent is here to compliment permanent signings and that there isn't a "must play" clause in his deal. Mowbrays should no way agree to that. Other than that, I wouldn't see signing Kent on loan as an issue.
