  1. Will anyone leave do people think? Some of the under 23s will definitely go on loan. Then after that, I'd say Gladwin might leave if there are any takers. Whittingham too if there were takers. I honestly think Whittingham will be a useful player to have around if he stays fit, so not too bothered about that. We are going to have a big enough squad. Great for competition. It's great that we don't have to live in fear of players been sold this summer. Having said that, I reckon a sizable bid will come in for Dack. Probably(hopefully) not enough to be accepted though. Realistically this will be his last year in a Rovers shirt though. We may enjoy it.
  2. Ah ya, I wouldn't begrudge Graham a start at all, but we need someone a bit more mobile I think. If we get the right wingers in though, the reborn and rejuvenated Graham could be very effective.
  3. A quid it is Big spenders here 4 new starters V Ipswich. I probably should have said starting or coming off the bench ?
  4. Are you referring to Bauer? I didn't expect us to spend 2 million on a player, but I wouldn't read anything into our budget because we won't spend 2 million on a back up centre half. I would imagine trying to get deals done is frustrating, whether you are Mowbray or Mourinho. Maybe he just doesn't like the sun We have signed 2 good young players and there is loads of time left. I am not sure what you mean by silence after Pune? What did you want/expect exactly?
  5. I reckon we will have at least 4 new signings starting against Ipswich.Davenport, 2 wingers and possibly even a striker. Keep the faith! We don't need a Dack or Mulgrew as we already have them I think our big outlay will be on a striker
  6. Based on what? The fact we are relatively slow signing players suggests to me that Mowbray is trying to get the right ones, players who will improve the starting 11.
  7. I regularly see young lads getting carried out of Ireland games after doing stuff like that. A pint or 2 per half, sitting in your seat should be allowed. Draconian, but I just wonder would some ruin it for others? I remember watching the final game last season v Oxford and when those @#/? ran on, some of them looked like extremely well oiled machines and not in a good way
  8. Nixon tweeted that there would be no point in us signing Morrison as he wouldn't get in our team. Closest thing to a compliment he has ever tweeted about the club.
  9. I remember him missing an absolute sitter against Newcastle the season we went down. We played them off the field, but I think it finished a draw or we may even have lost. He blazed it over the bar with practically an open goal
  10. Well he was definitely top 3 or 4 anyway. I would say Raya, Mulgrew, Graham and Evans were the best players in the last month. Dack was playing on fumes.
  11. Darren Gibson training with Wigan. I thought they had money to spend? Cook loves a crock
  12. No. It's just another name for winger in a 4-2-3-1 formation
  13. Contactless payments is a must in this day and age. People should have their money ready too. Every second counts at half-time! Can you bring beer to your seat in Ewood these days? You can at all Ireland rugby matches, but only some friendly games in the football. Football fans aren't trusted to handle their liquor, maybe with good reason.
  14. Ya, and we are a Premier league club, Big Sam is our manager and nobody has ever heard of Venkys The future looks bright. What could possibly go wrong? I liked Nonda when he was here. Was a handful
  15. We will probably sign someone who can cover inside forward and upfront like Armstrong. In fact, hopefully it is Armstrong. We have Samuel and Nuttall. I hope they have good pre-seasons.
  16. As I said above though, he plays more in Dacks role as opposed to one of the 2 in our 4-2-3-1. Bowyer played 4-4-2 if I remember correctly, so would need to have changed that to fit Cairney in. Which he should have done. We could have had.. I embarrassingly forget some of our players from that time, so excuse me if the below is inaccurate Robinson Spurr- Hanley-Duffy-Ollsson Lowe- Williamson Conway -Cairney- King Rhodes Subs Dunn Gestede Evans If only we had someone like Smallwood in there and Evans was fit that season.
  17. Very true, but he would play more in Dacks position wouldn't he?
  18. Rothwell will play further forward. He has signed Davenport for the centre with Smallwood or whoever. Signing Morrison could mean someone could leave, ie Travis on loan to an upper league 1 team. The 5-6 is an estimate, does that even include loans? Morrison is exactly the type of player we need. Experienced and quality at this level. I agree we need 2 wingers and a striker, but if we did sign Morrison thay would be 3 signings, leaving the afformentioned 3 places to be filled. I don't think it's true anyway. Just a lazy link because of his connection to Mowbray
  19. Don't let signing good players worry you. If the squad isn't balanced come the end of the window, then it would be time to worry. That won't be the case though
  20. Such options in the middle. Imagine we had that quality under Bowyer instead of Lowe and Williamson
  21. Morrison would be a cracking signing. The more good players and competition the better. I doubt there is any truth to it though. The link says Boro are the front runners with us and Derby also in the mix. Sounds like a text book 3 club linked article
