  1. It comes back to if Mowbray thinks they are good enough, we shouldn't just start them for the sake of giving young lads game time. Our teams were pretty full strenght, the players just hadn't realized at that point how much they have to fight in this division
  2. We can't afford to do this. Chelsea, UTD and City don't do it in the Premier league, Celtic don't do it in Scotland. We have to play our best team where possible.
  3. I wouldn't agree with that. At the end of the day it is the managers choice who he plays/signs/releases/sells. He shouldn't be forced into including young players if he doesn't think they are good enough, regardless of what we all think about them.
  4. I agree with the general point, however if he helps us get promoted, that is really the most important thing.
  5. Apologies, I read DL, when you said DJ. You were referring to Damien Johnson. I think the young players should get a chance. I just can't imagine the 2 lads telling Mowbray not to sign someone!
  6. I believe they are good players. What I don't believe is that Dunn and Lowe told Mowbray not to sign Harper.
  7. What is your source for this? I find it hard to believe
  8. You can even see wit posters here, people can't decide if they want the young players to get a chance here or not. It is a positive aspect of the Checktrade trophy that it appears to be a good way to transition players to the first team. If you are good enough, it shouldn't matter your age. Players are really being protected these days, unless they are just gifted freaks like Mbappe. Most young players take time to grow. I would definitely be open to Mowbray introducing 3-5 into the first team this year.
  9. That video is absolutely hilarious. The lads must be watching too much Conor McGregor I love how windy they are, one little weasel trying to encourage his pack to join in because he is scared he will get beaten up alone. I apologize to any weasels reading this who may be insulted by the comparison to that little scrote. The taxi driver didn't beat him up anywhere near enough. We have similar "packs" in Ireland. Not really race based though, anyone is fair game realy. A few Bacardi breezers and they think the world is their Octogon. If you caught one alone they would require an immediate change of underpants but they are very "tough men" when they have numbers!
  10. I was more replying to JAL. My point is I would prefer if he is listening to the experienced players rather than going around mouthing!
  11. At his age I would think it is better that he listens
  12. Well the one thing that this game offers is the opportunity for some of our players to become heroes. A goal or big performance here would set a serious foundation for someone to build their Rovers career on. 1-0 Rovers Smallwood 93rd minute
  13. How is Mahoney getting on with Bournemouth? Has he played in the Premiership does anyone know?
  14. So the Daily Fail use a Tweet from a fake Tony Mowbray Twitter account and claim that it actually is Tony Mowbray About half way down the page. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-4772274/Bradley-Dack-DELETES-Twitter-Olivia-Attwood-scandal.html So whoever wrote the article thinks a manager would tweet about planning to beat up his own player. Incredible stuff
  15. You could argue it's good for lower league clubs to get a big team. The gate receipts, tv money and the experience of playing in an old Trafford for example, is something their fans may not get to experience otherwise. Plus as TM has said, we aren't going to win it anyway
  16. You're right, but I hate that this is now where we are at
  17. Our biggest summer signing is a "mystery man" when standing next to some floozey off a reality dating show Thanks venkys
  18. Mulgrew is interesting. My worry is his ability lets him think he can coast through certain games. He is an international centre half and has looked good in games I have seen him play in V England and Germany. He just needs to get motivated and focus on every game...
  19. This is the thing with modern football. I see it time and time again, if a team isn't motivated enough when playing opposition they are expected to beat, they struggle. Years ago with much less media around games, teams turned up knowing it was 11 v 11 and you still had to perform, regardless of what hype is around you.
  20. Thank you for your list Mr Shrimper We like their movies very much, good choice for next manager of Blackburn Yes Ms Desai
  21. Remember when we used to beat utd to titles and even after that give them tough games. Well tonight they are paying Real Madrid in the European Super Cup and we are away to Coventry in round 1 of the league cup. Nice one venkys
