  1. When I saw the line up first I thought maybe Mulgrew was in midfield Is it just me who is starting to think that 3 at the back may not be a good idea? Our centre halves are relatively slow and not very physical. They will be up against two strikers most games.
  2. If you look at this list of managers we have had since Allardyce was sacked and their accomplishments, you would understand why our standards are somewhat low at this point. If someone looks to be honest and hardworking ,as Mowbray does, he is already one of the better ones we have had since Wankys took over. We are hoping and praying that he gets the football side of things to work as well. As for getting us out of this league. It looked like we had a decent chance of getting out of the Championship the year after we dropped out of the Premiership. What proceeded was the maddest and most badly run 12 months in this history of any football club in the UK I would argue. We had 4 different managers if I remember correctly. The stability of Mowbray is better than that.
  3. Yes, it's a worry. On the one hand he is saying we need to have our best players on the field, which I agree with, but this stuff of numerous systems is claptrap at this level. As referenced above Leicester won the league playing 4-4-2 because they had great team spirit and some players who played to freak like levels for a few months. we need our best players on the field,to be well organised, to be motivated and to stick with 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 if he insists on playing Dack. We have some players who can be and have been very effective in this league. Just keep it simple tactically, work hard and let the cream rise to the top. Some of what Mowbray is saying worries me that we may do ourselves out of results in games we should be getting points from by over complicating our gameplan.
  4. Slightly different he didn't say the formation was irrelevant. He must have watched Barca the night before making those comments. The above is all well and good when you have Messi, Suarez and Neymar in your team. In our case playing an unproven , unfit striker out wide in our first game of the season, whilst leaving actually wingers on the bench, is strange.
  5. Did he actually say that? If so, it is worrying. I agree about having your best players on the pitch, but there is no point playing a striker on the wing when you have actual wingers. Particularly if that striker doesn't look match sharp. There is no point signing Chapman and then playing Samuel on the wing.
  6. From my experience of Rovers over the past 7 seasons a win here inevitably means a terrible performance Saturday
  7. I would start Wharton instead of Williams. Other than that, the same
  8. Valid point on the injury. I had forgotten about that. He should have been resting that. Would have been the professional thing to do alright
  9. It isn't in his contract not to drink or go out. All players do it. He just happened to end up speaking to some "lady" off the TV who is "famous" at the moment You can't stop players having a life
  10. What did he do wrong in that article? Footballer need to have a life. If that involves going off with birds out of Love island, thats their choice Now for playing crap, thats a different issue. Also I am concerned that he is out in Essex. Does he live near Blackburn yet? I saw an interview with smallwood lat week and he said that he is still commuting from his old home near Rotherham. We need the player to settle quickly
  11. Not sure about Wolves. Made some big money signings, but would those lads really fancy a Tuesday night game in November away to Milwall, Burton etc?
  12. Why Derby? I would go 1-Villa 2-Fulham Play off winners- Preston Relegation-Sunderland, Burton, Milwall It's such a competitive league. Around 10-12 teams probably expecting to be in with a shout of promotion
  13. That looks great. Will get it for PS4. Be brilliant if it has official wrestlers from over the years
  14. Financial fair play only applies to smaller clubs apparently. Laughable and downright immoral.
  15. True. The fact that there has never or very rarely being an issue with what the LT published, shows the useless so and sos simple were not doing their jobs. On the above, none of that matters to fans if the team is doing well, if they aren't it will be a different story. I wonder why you banned that guy?
  16. I would say that is the reason. Who could blame him
  17. O'Leary got to a Champions league semi final. Mad how he just disappeared. That Leeds rollercoaster damaged him I think
  18. Scotland, that is where some poor team will end up with him. Guarantee it...
  19. It is only a matter of time before some team in England gets stuck with him. Imagine he ends up in League 1. The bufoon probably thinks it's beneath him after a few relatively successful years in a league a lower standard than the league of Ireland.
  20. Strange tweet by Myers. Is he trying to get into the media now? Tweets a lot. I thought he was a football admin guy?
  21. I have asked you twice what you are doing to combat Venkys Stuart and have not answered the question. Very interesting!
