  1. Momentum is momentum. The winning feeling. Under Mowbray we have bad habits that have been festering for a good while now. Don't be too surprised if they are ahead of us after say 10 games. It's very possible.
  2. I hope you're right No doubt we have a better squad, unfortunately that doesn't guarantee anything. They are in form , we haven't been and it would appear that they have a better manager
  3. Not sure how bothered he would be. Mo money, mo problems for Mowbray. Although from his comments anything above relegation next season would be seen as a positive. That's the ambition of the club right now. Tried aiming for promotion, didn't like the pressure.
  4. Really? After 2 wins in 17 games at the tail end of last season and without Armstrong and Elliott?
  5. It says April 14th in the article I posted. He gave at least 1 months notice. That's what's in most people's contracts, so that would mean the club would have known in February he was leaving.
  6. I can see why people saying joining Rovers from Blackpool is a sideways step could be antagonistic, but also , would you really be that surprised if they finished ahead of us next season? I hope they don't, but it's hard to know how next season is going to go for us
  7. Ok, so here we go. An article from the 31st of March saying he had left. So when did he give his notice? At least 1 month and certain roles have to give 3 months. So being generous they have know since the end of February he needed to be replaced. It goes onto say then the deadline for applications is April 14th. 2 months later and they still haven't appointed someone. I have recruited for manager roles in organisations and that timeframe would not be acceptable and I would expect a football club with a transfer window approaching to be even quicker with this sort of thing. It's as if they didn't have any idea what to do if he left. It shows poor planning. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19200381.rovers-searching-new-head-recruitment-departure/
  8. I have worked as a recruiter for multinational companies and how Rovers do recruitment, doesn't look very good to me. It looks amateur. You can't seriously say that they have used an efficient deadline to recruit for this role? Chaddy for the love of God, that article is dated May 12th and they still haven't made an appointment. The guy who left would have given 4 weeks notice and when did he leave? Amateur
  9. I would take Armstrong over Joe Linton (I refuse to spell his name correctly, he's big Joe Linton, big lump). He cost like £50 million ,didn't he? Crazy.
  10. That can't be right Pity he doesn't show a bit of loyalty to the club and manager who made him and sign a new deal. That would be swell.
  11. Be great if we signed him BEFORE selling Armstrong, but that's probably expecting too much
  12. I know the fud alright. He blocked me on Twitter about 10 years ago 🤣
  13. Why wouldn't he just say who it is if he knows?
  14. Exactly. It was bad enough listening to ITKs claim Mowbray was definitely going and getting our hopes up, only for them to be dashed
  15. Exactly. Some of the roles the club put on LinkedIn should be headhunted and would be at properly run clubs. No doubt they had notice. The guy that left would have had to of given notice, typically 1 month. It's slow paced , reactive recruitment. Totally amateur. Absolutely no doubt about that. Nobody could convince me otherwise.
  16. You advertise the role with a deadline When the deadline passes you see who you have and narrow the field to those you want to speak to. Either one or two interviews then You make an offer This should all be done in a month max. Whoever is involved in this process should not have gone on holidays until the role was filled. Amateur , that's the only word for it.
  17. Who knows? It should have been completed about 5-6 weeks ago. It seems they don't even have a HR recruitment person in place. The ads they put on LinkedIn are even so amateur
  18. It's a shambles. It gives an insight into how a lot of things are done at the club. Real tin pot ,small league, amateur carry on. That's why we will never punch above our weight under this regime.
  19. To be fair we can't be suspicious about every link to the player. I mean it's completely to be expected.
  20. To be fair I think any doubt on whether that would be the case ended a good few weeks ago.
  21. Shocking and amateur carry on Well less shocking actually unfortunately ,but definitely amateur. I have worked in companies smaller than Rovers in every way and that type of nonsense and downright negligent approach would not be tolerated. Crazy shit.
  22. Sounds like a backtrack to me. I wouldn't take him over either of those 2 and we all know they have their issues. Yes , people may have seen something in him, but as of yet, that hasn't translated to actual senior football, so let's see.
  23. What category does "Fletcher is on £40,000" a week fall into?
  24. It doesn't say the amount though? Of course Warnock would say that it was fantastic, he would hardly say it was shite. I find it interesting how he references the current climate, which would suggest to me that it was less than what he was on. Rightly so going off his record to be fair. Fair play to him. Whoever he is has worked some magic. It's a very surprising transfer to many people, except yourself. Maybe they will sign Mols next 😉
  25. £40,000? Do you have a link for that? I would imagine considerably lower with pay as you play put in there. Boro signed him based off potentially being good and what he might go onto do. It didn't happen for him there and Watford are now taking a punt. It's total low risk for Watford. They got him for free, so even if they sell him for 500, 000 they will do alright. Lets see how much he plays. He's a very lucky boy with a super agent. What an opportunity with the CV and injury record he has.
