  1. New winger you mean
  2. Why would he leave there to come here?
  3. I think it's safe to say medicals were more lax back then. Bit of a lottery what you ended up with and what slipt through.
  4. That article is trying to sugar coat missing out on THB I reckon. Not surprising he chose to work under Kompany. I'm not knocking loans, but I really hope we aren't guaranteeing game time before they sign. I don't see what attraction we bring other than that. Fine if they earn it on merit, which to be fair Elliott and THB did by and large. I can just imagine the City loan managers pushing it and us being like "yes sir, can I have some more?"
  5. Ben said so. The ultimate itk! Lol. Nothing in it alright i'd say.
  6. The money came from somewhere at the last minute alright though. It was strange. It seems something happended on the last day of the window, but it's difficult to know what. It could be as you alluded to that Mowbray didn't want to send the money and then just got the Brereton idea via an agent contacting him. It might just work out for him yet, lol Still didn't make sense though
  7. Of course, future sales of Brereton. I don't see potentially selling Dack being factored in. It's not good business sense. So I can't see why the auditors would recommend it. No deal was done anyway, even prior to Dack getting injured
  8. Nah, they don't strike me as owners who give money up on the off chance they are getting it back, in this unpredictable business. We had a budget and it either materialised at the last minute, for some reason, or we dilly dallied, as per usual and missed out on our main targets. It was an odd signing in many ways though.
  9. Nah. The Brereton deal was done at the very last minute of the window. They knew they didn't have any money for Dack and they weren't going to buy off potentially having money. Wouldn't make sense
  10. I know that, but saying we had the money spent doesn't make sense. It doesn't add up.
  11. Do you have a link to where Mowbray admitted that?
  12. Semi related issue but I can imagine Brereton coming back high on his exploits, bumps into Mowbray in the hall and his dour, negative demeneur brings him back to earth with a bang.
  13. We can't even recruit a head of recruitment after 5 months. It's an amateur set up masquerading as a professional football club
  14. That's his way. Do you see a different demeanor at any other time? They are out of their depth to bring success to the club, but from their own point of view, they couldn't be anywhere better
  15. Agreed. It's annoying, but he's just a man out of his depth, doing his best, which isn't good enough.
  16. The owners either don't care, or they set on giving him the duration of his contract , pretty much no matter what. In a way the latter is admirable , it never happens anymore. He's a lucky man.
  17. If we specified England, it was a fine bit of business
  18. 2 wins in 17. Bunch of losers.
  19. I think that's on the money. He worked as O'Neills assistant for a few years since management too. He has said he has had offeres below championship level and from Scotland, but that he basically knows his worth. I think he would the club a huge profile boost. Before someone's says that doesn't matter ,it's about results, don't forget this is currently a club run by people who don't seem to care about selling jerseys or season tickets.
  20. Under the current manager, yes.
  21. Can't help but feel if a club bid anything near what we paid for him, a manager other than Mowbray would accept it.
  22. Not true. Teams have lost players who were their top scorers, only for the overall team results to improve the following season. We don't need a player to individualy score 28 goals next season to improve our league position.
  23. Leeds in for Brereton I'm reading online
  24. Plus he scored on his full debut. Huge help for the lad
