  1. I didn't realise that one of the people on the board of the EFL when the Oystons were asset-stripping BFC was the Chairman of BFC, Karl Oyston. Fit and proper governance.
  2. They won't be wanting to contribute towards paying Oyston's fine I wouldn't imagine.
  3. I read it. You are saying their (O's) mistake was to take money out of the club themselves rather than get third parties to take it out? So you're saying essentially that Venky's bought the club and have incurred significant losses in order to enrich 3rd parties like JA?
  4. 'All'. They've siphoned off the club's money and sued the fans who said as much. Hardly the same as what has gone on at Ewood.
  5. You're on the wind-up pal as you always are, and then when you get questioned you shut down and say 'last post'. But, yeah, 'libel'
  6. So because the Oystons still own the club and the club runs in an abnormal fashion (to put it mildly) it 'works'. Can't argue with that logic. We'll ignore the court cases, the sued fans, the 3 relegations, the siphoning off of £27m of the clubs money by the owners, the High Court ruling, the crowds of 2k, the 'Oyston Out' number plate one of the Oystons had fitted to goad the fans. It's like saying Venky's 'work', and they haven't sunk to the levels the Oystons have.
  7. You said in your first post:- "Not a marriage made in heaven but somehow it works in a weird perverse way" I'm struggling to see why you can't explain what 'works' in the 'marriage' between Oystons and Blackpool? It's a simple question based on what you typed less than 24 hours ago.
  8. What works and what has BHS got to do with anything?
  9. I'm talking more about the fans the Oystons sued for posts made on forums (I think I have that right?) and who they sued for defamation (?). If they too called The O's 'asset-strippers' or similar and were sued for it then they too would possibly have a case against 'O' just like Barton.
  10. Barton and a few fans settled out of court. Not sure how easy it would be to get their money back? Barton can afford £20k anyway, it's the fans who were sued who should be reimbursed. Hopefully someone will fund them taking the Oyston's to court. Belekon funding them with the money he won off the Oystons would be brilliant
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/nov/06/oystons-blackpool-ordered-pay-shareholder-high-court-valeri-belokon They nicked £27m of the clubs Prem TV money for their own personal use and cut large shareholder Belekon out of the deal, yet the EFL decided to ban Belekon from being a director of 'Pool based on him not turning up to some kangaroo court in Kyrgyzstan. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the governing bodies of English football...
  12. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/15641458.Rovers_winger_Harry_Chapman_set_to_undergo_surgery_on_hamstring_injury_which_will_rule_him_out_for_up_to_three_months/?ref=mac Up to 3 months out. Mowbray trying to make out he was just 'dipping' him in before he unleashed him....and saying Harry will be back to get us 'over the line. Mowbray is full of shit.
  13. ...and neither will the good players we have at the club because the largesse shown towards Mowbray this summer won't be repeated next year. It's not as simple as just waiting for this season to play out.
  14. Good news. Always thought he looked a good 'un from the bits I've seen. Hopefully he's got over the 'personal problems' Mowbray gave as the reason for not having him in the 1st team squad. Do you rate him?
  15. I was only joking Mercer and I agree with the above. He's a big miss. He's leading our assists chart with 3 and he never plays. Says it all about Mowbray's approach. http://www.espnfc.co.uk/english-league-one/25/statistics/assists .
  16. None are suitable so it's going to be the left-back Hart. Tactically astute.
  17. https://twitter.com/HarryChapman101 Out for 2 months, needs surgery. A massive loss.

  19. Excellent series. Interesting hearing the different perspectives of the Viet Cong and US army who were there. The My Lai Massacre was brutal, even for war.
  20. That's true, but apparently we created '35 goalscoring opportunities' the other night*. Someone should have been able to finish at least one more. *We didn't.
  21. Have we played well for a full game this season? Either scraping wins or losing games on paper we really should be winning doesn't bode well in the long run. Mowbray has said as much in the LT tonight:- http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/15596936._Ultimately_we_got_what_we_deserved____Tony_Mowbray_reacts_to_Rovers__defeat_at_Oldham_Athletic/?action=success#comments-feedback-anchor 4 defeats in 11 games is not the form of a team who will go up automatically. So is it the players or is the manager to blame? Has Mowbray's recruitment been over-hyped, not least by himself? Of all his signings could you perhaps really only make a strong case for Smallwood being consistently good? Is it that Mowbray is simply unable to get the best out of them and doesn't pick the right teams? Or are the players he inherited simply not good enough? Mowbray himself has said the players are good enough and that if he doesn't get promoted he isn't much of a manager. Personally I think Mowbray leaves a lot to be desired, especially in his ability to motivate a team. I thought it was worth a topic as there seems to differing opinions on where the blame lies. Thoughts?
  22. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2017/october/remembering-a-rovers-hero/ A nice touch that staff from the club went over to lay flowers.
