It's Tony's 2 year anniversary this Friday. They say year 3 is the tricky one for football managers. Quite a few managers out there now who fit the Venkys/Cheston model of out of work and with a promotion to the Prem on their CV (see Coyle, Lambert, Mowbray, Warnock).

He wanted Celina and/or Freeman last summer but he couldn't get them to the club. I have no doubt he also wanted Assombolonga. Whether he cant attract them or we cant afford the wages is open to question.

What has stood out for me in the last 2 years under Mowbray is that the passing is very poor. Eventually that will catch up with you. The defending is also poor. We get the basics wrong. Looking for reasons beyond that for our rece t results is to excuse the quality of the coaching.

With 50% of the children currently living in Blackburn never likely to ever go to Ewood it will be a serious problem going forward.

With our away record we are looking at home games for points. We've got 3 local derbies left at home and then 3 teams with some good players. 13 games left in total. I doubt we'll get 17 points needed to get to 60 points. 55 points would be my guess.

Spot on. It was the same last season too. The really good performances stand out because they are so rare.

I don't trust his recruitment or his ability to make the football better. We are one dimensional in attack and we can't defend. Nothing has changed in two years in that respect.

Felt sorry for him today. He didn't get one decent pass. That said he's worth around £500k. Whoever decided to spend £7m money on him is an idiot. Too much pressure on a lad who doesn't look naturally confident.

Like the rest of the team he was slow, lethargic and kept giving the ball way.
