  1. And can you tell Tony about them?
  2. Well don't leave us hanging ya big tease!
  3. Surely not! Who would do such a thing?!
  4. Aye cos Bell is a sensational defender
  5. Flint and Ayala are missing for them so hopefully the aerial bombardment from set-pieces won't be as brutal. I fear for us without Lenihan though.
  6. In fairness its probably one of the toughest home games of the season. Boro have only lost 3 away all season and have conceded less than a goal a game. They got more points away than at home. Mogga -: “Why have they been so good away from home? Because defensively they are very strong and they have players in midfield who have quality and can pick the right pass" https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tony-mowbray-middlesbroughs-away-form-15838404
  7. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17437488.rovers-boss-tony-mowbray-lifts-the-lid-on-switzerland-trip/ I thought he'd just gone to a FIFA museum? He's certainly putting the ball in Venky's court. The 'L1 to stable Prem' team in 3 years quote is probably what is expected of him by the owners. He's saying he wants more money and time. Fair enough. Other managers have done it though. He needs to be careful of not coming across as defeatist.
  8. Win this and we will be only 5 points behind 6th placed Boro. Unfortunately it will be 1-1. Mogga will celebrate both goals. ?
  9. Wilder has been there 9 months longer than Mogga has at Rovers. He took over in L1. We'll see where we are in 9 months but I doubt it will be anywhere near the top 2.
  10. Yeah, I think it was Karanka. We had that ex-Man Utd central midfielder playing for us on loan (think he might be at Millwall now).
  11. Total Commitment to their fans. Are you committed Waggott?
  12. They brought about 7k for a match under Bowyer on a Saturday iirc. Think it finished 1-1.
  13. Straw man. All he had to say was 'we'll keep going and see where it takes us' NOT 'it's all gone to shit and we haven't achieved what we wanted' which is what he actually said. which is what he did on Brereton. I agree it was stupid. No we don't. We have a mid-table team. We can't compete with some clubs in the transfer market but as has been said a million times we went down with a mid-table Championship team that had been appallingly managed by Coyle and came back up with a mid-table Championship team. Where we are now is about right in this league for the players we have. If Mowbray had sorted out a defence that has conceded 25 goals in 10 away games then we could well have been in with a shout of the play-offs. We still might if he can. What he could have done in January is bring in a goalkeeper and CB to improve the squad, either on loan or a perm. But he didn't want to because he wants to be loyal to the 'group'.
  14. It does beg the question what's he been doing for the last 2 years if he's only talking about setting up a European scouting system now? The value is obviously abroad and has been for years, not in £7m 19 year olds from Forest. It just adds to the picture of a bloke who lacks a bit of OOMPH. His comments about not being arsed about conceding late goals, his comments about giving up on the league, and now his comments about only just getting round to setting up a scouting system abroad after two years all strike me as very complacent. As someone else pointed out it's hardly the 'Total Commitment' the club keep preaching when trying to sell ST's. Obviously he may have already asked for a European scout and been turned down, but his comments over the last two years have suggested he has been happy to go British (especially players he's already worked with or have played well against his teams). Couple of interesting quotes in the article:- "At this moment I’m being tasked with trying to take us back there (the Prem). If it is going to be me than I need the support to do it. Otherwise, as has been at clubs I have been at in the past, you don’t quite win enough games, someone else comes in, gets £50m to spend and they get the glory of ‘what a great manager’ when they get back in to the Premier League. That’s football." Mogga sounds a bit frustrated there^. As has been obvious for sometime Venky's are desperate to get back to the Prem. Mowbray is obviously pleading for a bit of patience and support. However, £50m to get out of the Championship? The really good managers in this league (like Warnock) do it on not much more than free transfers. Mowbray tends to get his excuses early. If he taught his teams how to defend this season would have been a lot different. The Dyche's and Warnock's of this world do exactly that. "...if we have ambition at this football club to get to the Premier League, we need to invest and do it now. Mainly in infrastructure I would say. Infrastructure allows you to get players and when they come in the building they say ‘wow’ " What's he referring to here? Have we not got one of, if not the, best set-up in the Championship as far a ground/training ground go?
  15. Defensively, Bell has been worse.
  16. His holier than thou bullshit is getting old. He should be creating a winning football team, not a team of choir boys.
  17. I think they should still be at the club. Its about adding someone else for competition, not getting rid of the best two CB's at the club. A better keeper and a far better LB are vital if we want to progress. Raya has potential but makes some dreadful errors.
  18. If you think Lenihan or Mulgrew should go then I question your judgement. And Williams is a better defender than Bell IMO. Raya needs serious competition. He has cost us more goals than he's saved this season.
  19. Steroids and light stretching.
  20. I benched 14lbs when I was 200lbs. Fuck Tyson.
  21. I'll be honest, I thought Mowbray's legs had gone. It's always a chastening experience to be proved wrong, wouldn't you agree?
  22. He's not a troll though. No sirree.
  23. The pressure comes from the price tag, not the fans.
  24. Why did Mowbray/Waggott commit so much money on him?
  25. Some financial conviction abroad has prevented him taking over. He's denied it but not sure he can appeal.
