Krislu. Sven earns £5m a year, and for that £5m he should be doing a lot more than just reaching World Cup and Euro Champ's finals. If he was on a sensible amount, I could maybe accept him reaching just the Q/F's of these tournaments but for the money he 'earns' I expect him to do something special at these events and to do that little bit more than England can safely achieve. He also fails to understand the word 'tactics'. Against Brazil in 02, England were 2-1 down with 40mins to go and Bazil were down to 10 men. Despite this, England still never decided to attack the Brazilian defence(which included the great Roque Junior) and failed to create a single chance. We may aswell had Harry Basset working for free, in charge and we still would have done exactly the same. In 04, England went 1-0 up against Portugal early on with Rooney going off soon after injured. Next thing he does, was to bring on Darius Vassel. Now, Vassel is a good player but is to similar to Owen meaning there would be no way we could hold up the ball and create chances. Sven also decided that it would be best for England to defend for the remaining 80mins. Everyone knows what happened next and we were actually lucky to even equalise. Another thing that bugs me about Sven, is his decision to bring on holding midfielder when we are losing. ie aginst Portugal in Phil Neville and Hargreaves against Ireland. SACK THE SPUD!!

Well if Greece can win the European championships, and the likes of South Korea and Turkey get to the final 4- it proves just what a good manager can do with a bunch of average players. So maybe Norway have a chance!!!!!

I think our first half performance showed how we missed Savage today. Reid and Tugay were both average/crap

actually, WBA defended very well and it was only because of the rest of the WBA team did they have to defend soo much. Also, Curtis Davies is certainly not a championship defender(and yes i no he made a mistake) but i tell ya, if WBA do go down, he will certainly remain in the Prem. I'd guess an extra 1000 Rovers fans will 'come back' on Saturday because of the United result. Meaning about 18,000 Rovers plus how many more WBA are taking. I wouldnt think too many due to their current form though

watched the full match on football first yesterday, and i thought it proved how important Savage is to our team. He surely does more running that anyone on the pitch and it IS effective! He gives nobody any time on the ball and keeps the moral up with the players if things are going badly(ie.when united equalised). IMO, he would look even better if he had a player with real attacking class next to him in the middle.

I thought we were playing quite well untill they scored. Then we just gave up. It looked like we were starting to attack more in the second half before they scored aswell. Anyway- I blame it totally on Lucas Neill today. What a ######!
