now that we through to the group stage, now much money will the club make. A great win and a great match welkl done to all -
well i think that he will come good, and by all acounts it has started with todays game
-
the captain arm band should not go to any player who does not want his future to be at the club.
-
well I for one think that there will miss rovers just as much as we miss them. And as for CB I do not think his move to liverpool will work out as good as he thought it would.

the only thing that he did that was wrong was to take such a long time is saying no. if any player does not want to go to a club that fine, but just say no it does not take weeks to do that. -

for me the heart of any team is the midfield, win that and its easy to defend and to plan attacks, lose the midfield battle and you have want we had today, a no show. We need someone who can both defend and attack from center midfield, the problem is they cost a lot, but boy we need one. AS for neil I know its only the first game, but if that is his chossen postion, then all I can say is good bye, he was bad very bad. As an ex center half and full back I was taught that you do not dive in until you sure you can win the ball, and hence you should stay on your feet. This he did not do, and as for reading of the game well, he must be half blind. The forwards cannot be blamed with that kind of service they had no chance. As for wed-day well for people paying up to £36 I do hope that there play a lot better because they need to -
so lets get this right the clubs and players have a free market and get the most that they can do so. however when it comes to the fans the free market does not apply and lets get the police invoved. what is killing the game and rovers is the pay that the players get.

to jan thanks for the imput for the record I get sky for the whole family and not just me I work every other saterday so A season ticket is not an option however it still stands that for the cheapest seat there are very limted and the view is not good. so the fact is either I can watch rovers and stop sky in which case the whole family loses out, or I have sky and rovers lose out. AS I have had its about decsions, and I am happy with mine -

its all well and good people saying that watching rovers is chaeaper then other teams and to be fair it is cheaper, but its still not cheap. even if as jan says you get the lowest price seat, which is in area in which the view is quite bad hence the lower cost, by the time you have added on travel, food etc its near £30 and this is for the worst seat, and of which you have to find the up front costs or pay extra for monthy payments. Too top it all players at our club are moaning at £40,000 per week yes per week, that will take me three years to earn, and yet the players are great for playing for us and us fans who cannot afford to go are some how not really fans. Well for some people it as gone on far enough, and we watch rovers the best we can yes on sky or in a pub, and we/I put our/ my family first, which means I will not put it on a card or get into debit so that I can watch a match. Would I like to yes, can I afford to No, answer down to a pub, and no I do not spend alot in the pub three pound at most. Is this fair to the club. no, but we have to pay our way and live within our means just like the club as to. The outcome is that choices have to be made, and rovers are not my number one aim, I hope they do well and when their have the £10 games I do go. But for most of the time I cannot afford to watch them live. -

while others have stated that the proces charged are low if you compare other clubs, nevertheless not many people with families to look after will be able to pay that. Then other fans and the club will ask where are all the lost fans, and before anyone says that the club have to charge high prices for the players to earn the pay that they do, the clubs of all teams have to learn that fans do not have to go and are starting to say stop rigging us off we have had enough. A and Aplus games have to stop and start charging the same rate -
just a word about Kuqi. while his touch is not the best rememeber he came on a free and as scored 6-8 goals. That is very good from rovers point of view, and we should keep him for back up and for the last 15 min when teams are tired and he can use this strength to good effect.
-
for 5 mill there have got a very good deal and a very good player
-
I will say it first a think he will get between 10-15 goals next season what does everyone else think that he will get
-
for me its wrong to blame anyone one player or to go after any one player. what he do was wrong, but all players get at the ref, the answer is not to drive them out , but the ref to have some bottle and be backed up by all in the game and to give them a red card. If that happems it would stop, very quickly indeed anywhere we are off on a five day short holiday so have nice week folks.

now that we are out, can someone tell me why we picked our next england boss before the world cup. the fa must of know that all the good ones would be tied up until after the world cup. suelry it would of made more sense to wait, let things settle dowm them pick the next boss. As it is we have a boss who for me while he may be a ok coach as a manager he is not rated yet, well at least by me.
-
I have always stated that with the players that we have we should of played a 3-5-2. to play someone up front on their own who is either half match, or who has no great pace was a mistake. he played a far too safe a game, he looked liked he did not watch to lose the cup, but to do well you have to be able to win it and in that dept we were not at the races. Why take a full back and them never play him, why take holding mid field players( in which we had then enough) and never play them yet take only four forwards. we took some of the wrong players and the game plan was totally wrong for this world cup. still time to move on. well I hope we do. ps Is it just me but I hate it when other players try to get others sent off, I thought that the refs were told to book such actions.
-
if we are going to play two attack mined midfield players them you have in my view to play a 3-5-2 pattrem and with the playess that england have that might well work. however knocking long stright high balls to crouch will not win the world cup.
-
bbc is far better then itv but sky is still miles ahead out on its own
-
I know that the role of a ref is very hard, but on tonights show, the ref wrecked a very good game. In any important decsion the top refs wait a second or two to see what happens etc, this one did not. also some of the booking were wrong and some players got away with no booking at all. and we think our refs are bad
-
well just got back from holiday and when I read who he had picked I was a bit taken a back. to play four fit forwards is taking a bit of a risk, to take four and one who might well not play at all, and one who will only be about 80% match fit, and one who has not play any games at all for england seems to be daft. I am for taking a risk or two, ( do we need three goalkeepers) but you need options when you pick forwards and as such we do not seem to have many with the players that he has picked. Peter C will find it hard against top class defeners to hold the ball up, his touch and upper body strength is just not there. playing fast small forwards works well untill you get to the later stages of the world cup. Then you start to face defenders who are just as fast, but who are also stronger. playing a 4-5-1 will not work. England do not have players to score one them defend for the rest of the game. In the english game we do not hold on too the ball long enough, and as playing with only one up front means that by and large we will not have the ball often. also which of our forwards is good in the air......... another option gone.... oh well I do hope that I am wrong and that the england manager knows what he is doing
-
for me the person should of been big sam people say he play the long ball gamem however if you look at his games play there play both the short ball and long ball, and his outlook his very up to date with training etc. however while I hope the new manager does a good job, its a bad choice, a good coach does not always make a good manager.
