  1. I really like him. Being a winger is a simple science, beat your man and get a decent ball in the box - especially if you can get to the line and pull it back. I also like how is one of only a couple who will carry the ball into the box, he'll get us a few penalties this season. In Chapman we trust.
  2. The timing of the Radio Rovers announcement and lack of graphics (future game info etc) seems to me like it was an unexpected 11th hour decision. It'll be a real can of worms getting things running properly, it even took 5mins+ for someone to get the score at two nil. Shame on Rovers (Venkys) for putting the customers last and dumping on their loyal fans again.
  3. I'm surprised they didn't suggest teaming up with deaf fans.
  4. I used to play football with Neil, nice guy and a Rovers man. It is his dad Alan who owns Creatv and they were in charge of RR and the camera footage etc. Shame, although the fence they sat on is the width of the Great Wall of China, it is yet another loss and downgrading of what Jack made the best town team in the country.
  5. How many of Trelleborg's would get in to our mid 90's side? I'm happy to be the underdog on this one. Almost no pressure and I personally think they are in for a torrid season, let it start here.
  6. Haha! Oh well, we are the definite underdogs now. Come on Rovers
  7. But he also isn't match conditioned, so it is catch 22. I personally think he lacks mental toughness and most of his knocks and strains are just run of the mill. Only guessing though.
  8. You are entitled to say what you want, I often agree with a lot of what you say but also disagree with some of it too. Mulgrew would get injured opening a jam jar and him getting another knock is no shock. It's still annoying though because he is our key man. Rock and hard place with him, needs 60 - 70 mins to build up fitness, massively important for the league games but would be a liability if he isn't fit. We also need lengthy cup runs to add measly amounts to out meagre budgets.
  9. Did you enjoy the result tonight or was it not what you wanted? Genuine question.
  10. No, people are happy we have won. Isn't that why we support a team?
  11. Odds are 22 - 1 to draw...tempting, we've been here before.
  12. He's inherited a side deep in the relegation zone, until the summer he hadn't brought a single player to the club and has one game of the season under his belt. Patience and perspective is needed (in my opinion).
  13. If we don't know the formation or where people are going to play, neither will the opposition. That's tactics and now is the time to experiment. I've only scanned over some responses but a few jumped out like, Mowbray needs to stick to a formation. He doesn't. He needs league wins, nothing more, what we do in the cup games should underpin the league games. Also, hasn't frequent criticism of previous managers been that they have no plan B if things aren't going well? This cup great timing for us. We need our best players gelling together asap - they have only played a handful of games and the feedback was we looked unfit on Saturday (although I expect protective substitutions around the hour). Mulgrew is a sick note but he has also missed part of pre season and needs match fitness.
  14. Seriously? What has he actually done wrong and what is there to deal with? He is a young man. He looks sober, isn't punching an Elvis impersonator or smacking someone into a bin. He isn't sexually assaulting someone or getting into a married woman. The lad is lower league footballer, who is speaking to a girl in an absolutely ridiculous non-story.
  15. Breaking News - Young man attends nightclub and talks to young woman.
  16. He's got a couple of good years in him. We are League One and it is a very good addition for this level. I'm pleased with this signing, there's a lot of common sense behind it.
  17. I went and was surprised how good he still is. Amazing pianist and strong voice. On another note, the security services were fantastic. It was an odd sight though, seeing a sniper on top of the Darwen End and sniffer dogs doing the rounds throughout the concert.
