  1. I remember us being after him years ago. Possibly as far back as Big Sam's era ☹
  2. I agree! Just read that he's paired up with Katie Price. That says all you need to know about the guy. She's vile.
  3. Sorry, I disagree. Duffy was a numpty who wanted out. I don't blame him though, we'd just employed Owen Coyle as manager and he saw me off too.
  4. Who was the last half-decent player we sold? Duffy (who's poor performances and attitude engineered his own move).
  5. I was going to post exactly the same. He isn't quick but his strength and trickery more than make up for it. You can easily double that £3m.
  6. Has the amount of tv money in the Championship increased by quite a large amount? I'm sure I read it had. I think one of the positives of us spending a year in League One is that It's been like a 12month scouting mission. Amongst the dross, there were some quick, strong and assured players in this League who could easily make the grade in the Championship.
  7. Only one I disagree with is Gladwin. I've got a feeling with a good pre season, there's a player I'm there somewhere. Last chance saloon though.
  8. Dream scenario for me, Bolton and Birmingham down.
  9. Just from someone who'd been rubbing shoulders with some in the exec boxes at a recent game.
  10. Anyone else heard any rumours of Arab investment in the summer? Not a club sale but the V's getting some financial help off some friends?
  11. That was excellent, especially in those conditions ? But...I also remember about five needless or clumsy heavy touches that went out for goal kicks and throw ins. Not a great game by him on Tuesday but a fantastic contribution since his arrival.
  12. I think Nyambe will step up. I actually thought we really missed him after his injury and the midfield missed Bennett.
  13. Oh yeah. I'd kind of erased that from my mind.
  14. Oooooooh - Tony Mowbray's magic He wears a magic hat And when he saw promotion He said, " I'm having that!" I'm having that!
  15. I liked Roberts. He was a nuisance for the opposition and held the ball up really well. He also scored one of the greatest mis-timed shinners to grace Ewood Park.
  16. Goulon was so bad he made me laugh. He just had nothing about him that suggested he was a footballer. Fettis was turd and after a great start, Adam Henley became out of his depth rubbish.
  17. Without fanning the flames, the club itself can't afford to plug that gap but the Raos can afford to stump up that amount of cash. It often amazes me how fans all over the country mock their actual business. It is a fantastic sector to be involved in. Chicken is eaten by the majority of the world. The demand for it will never go away in any country, nor will the need for the pharmaceutical arm of their business. Why they got involved in this club is anyone's guess and they are clearly out of their depth and caused us no end of pain. Right now though, I'm happy for them to throw money down a pit that they dug themselves and sadly, we need them to keep doing it until we can drag ourselves up the leagues.
  18. Don't forget it's irrelevant how long his contract lasts, he isn't available for a Bosman due to his age, so there will be a fee even when his contract is up.
  19. Apologies - I am on about Samuel. I saw the thread title and was referring to him. I didn't realise someone switched to Antonsson.
  20. It isn't harsh. His finishing is really poor. He gets through on goal and smashes it. The other week he even did an air kick from 7 yards. Poor at any level imo.
  21. He lashes at every chance he gets. He needs to relax in front of goal and gain some composure.
  22. What was most laughable was the penalty yesterday was chalked off and the player booked YET the players encroached into the box way before the kick was taken. It should've been a retake. VAR is a sack of shit.
  23. Another super result. Just seen the third goal - absolutely brilliant. From Conway battling in the corner, the sprint forwards, interchanging of passes and a fantastic finish, absolutely sublime.
  24. Say he did start, who would the game changer be on the bench as teams tire late on? Contrary to what some say, Rovers have been playing well as a team, really closing down the space and not giving the opposition time to think in their own half. Personally, I think (at the moment) that giving him 30mins and the opposition the run around, is the right thing. Wimbledon aside, it has been working. He does need to improve the defensive side of his game but he is proving to be a fabulous asset.
