I do wonder if JDT does go, whether this would be the smartest move. A bit like with Garry Bowyer first went in the hotseat. He already knows they players and what there capabale of, and he will of seen where we are struggling. It might just be the best option till end of season and maybe enjoy a tiny wave of positive results. We do have a fair bit of youth, and for someone that already knows them might help. Rather than a championship manager journeyman that may just rip it all up. I do actually think we just need minor tweaks and we can kick start back up the league again. It really just needs balance on matchday lineups and being a bit more cute defensively as a group, rather than so open.

I think at best we draw.... I dont see how losing so many games turns into clean sheets and victory. Just need to stop the rot atm somehow, and get back to basics, take a draw. JDT needs to field a side and formation with balance at both ends of the pitch. As much of a circus shambles as we are, hes having a stinker atm in terms of selections imo. He needs to have a long hard look in the mirror, the one thing he can control is the group of players he does have, and that should be his focus. Ive seen worse teams stay up. Any manager in this dreadful form with half a brain gets a team back to basics, and tries to reset and build confidence back up. Cant keep blaming players, Ive seen worse sides in this division than our current crop. Belief into players and instructions to players comes from him, end of. Get us believing again JDT! I would be amazed if JDT really thought wharton would not of gone with the amount of money being offered, and it being a prem move. I wonder if he was either at the club late, or maybe he just wants to crack on with training as hes got about 5 new lads to get to know and work with. He will also now have a bit of a selection headache for Saturday. Either a bench full of newbies or he throws some straight in. im reading a lot people saying this 37 year old can only play in back 3.... Well we have no full backs to play 352... Guess we will be playing the same old vey open football we've played all season. Would like to think JDT would learn from 1st half season mistakes by getting in what's needed. We have 1 fit left back, and nobody else apart from square pegs in round holes for full back. JRC wasted at right back or wing back if put there. Sigurdson is lost at full back or wide in a 352. I do hope we get a right back in. not linked with any so guess we prob wont be. Would love to be proved wrong, but if we go 3 at the back going forwards, I think we will be conceding a far lot more, just simply due to only having wingers to play at wing backs. we practically played 3-2-5 last night. Didn't come down to management, it came down to us being technically better, we were better at moving the ball quick and Wrexham didn't have the legs to keep up. We aren't moving up the table anytime quickly playing that way in the league imo, as bizarre and negative as it may sound (sorry for negativity after a 4-1) From what I have read on twitter and on here, I am not giving Pears praise. I see people saying how good he was last night. Not for me. He didn't have much to do. The goal conceded was poor, near post, he was nowhere near it. As for the double save we would of been hammering him if the rebound went in as he pushed it into a danger zone. We are so open is ridiculous. We played with no defensive wing backs, Sigurdson does not suit that formation at all so i think the criticism of him is unfair. Its just not his game, he doesn't have the legs to get up and down, and when he gets it he wants to cut in, and having about 5 up front at times it just got congested for him. Our poor cms have to be all over the place due to the lack of cover at the back. Positives: Dolan and costello. I would like to see costello in cm in all honesty, think we miss a bit of physical\height Prescence in there at times, but its good he can play in multiple positions. Maybe away from home him and tronstad might not be a bad cm pairing. We got the job done, and convincingly, we were very good on the ball and at moving it. But against better oppo we cant get away with how we play, which shows week in week out in championship. Its great when it comes off like last night, but how many times does it? The first half hour summed it up last night, played them off the park and went 1-0 down, luckily we turned it around easily. All I'm saying is we need to find a better balance at both ends of the pitch and quickly. All this talk of lack of experience and strikers is annoying now. Think we have seen weve got a good enough group, and we also have the leagues top scorer, time for him to start taking responsibility and fixing our weaknesses.

I dont know anywhere near enough the ins and outs of this situation. But does any fan on here really know what money the club has and hasnt got in its current club bank? The fact we are purchasing players says to me Venkys have somehow got some way around it or funds to keep the lights on and cover wages. These are stingey owners who don't come across like they want to spend money on players, the fact we are are signing anyone says to me its not as bad as some are making out, in terms of we can pay wages till this things gone through in march or whenever its been delayed to. All I seem to read is people finding docs from the internet of laws etc, but im not sure anyone really knows whats going on, nobody is close to the venkys. The fact they've even lasted this long without going under says to me they will somehow plod us through on thin ice with the bare minimum needed. I know its a shambles of running a club, but my head says they wouldn't sanction purchasing more players if we really couldn't pay wages or lights etc. We've obviously got some dollar in the club kittee till the season ends. I suppose it just depends how long this drags on.

my first game since the chelsea game. So buzzing for this! been a while. My gut feeling is it will be a christmas cracker, 2 good footballing sides. Think 3-2, or 3-1, to southampton. I get the extra game bit, but I am saying I 'think' the suspension does not come into affect for 7 days till after the offence. Even if we failed an appeal the extra game suspension just gets added on top. It doesnt mean the they bring the suspension forward. So his suspension I 'think' will not start till the stoke game and beyond as its after 7 days. This is the rule in semi professional football, so I am guessing this is the same for professional. I may be wrong. What im trying to say: Norwich - sunday, sent off Preston - Friday - within 7 days of the norwich game so suspension has not started. So I think he can play. Stoke - after the 7 days, his suspension begins.

I imagine Britain just goes back to right back. We have enough other players that play in the 3 behind the striker. So makes sense to just slot him back. Even though hes playing well forward we simply have nobody else. And we can use others going forward.

im pretty sure a red card takes 7 days to take effect. So we played on a sunday, his suspension kicks in the followjng sunday onwards for all games then onwards. So I think wharton will be available for the friday night game.

great atmosphere before and during the game from our fans. We played well, but my god ive not seen a side so allergic to shooting and crossing a football. Im not just talking baout last night but this is every game. Its actually painful to watch. Players 20 yards out refusing to shoot. Adam Wharton at 1-0 just before they scored the 2nd had the whole goal to shoot at 20 yards out, and decided to do the most impossible ball to leonard and it went out for a goal kick. Then sterling gets 1 sniff and thank you very much. All well and good passing it all game and looking nice, but just shoot or get the bloody ball in the bloody box. Im also fed up of free kicks, we put one hand on the ball then pass it as quick as possible. It was hammering with rain, nice and wet, great conditions to get shots off, we get a fee kick 23 yards out from goal, and we take a quick short free kick just to pass it some more and give it away. It really does my nut.
