might be a good time to play them with an international break. It can break things up for teams in certain forms. I cant see us winning, but im now in the mindset of I would be shocked if we get stuffed, by anyone. Eustace has definitely made us more defensive and very boring on the eye, but that comes hand in hand with being hard to beat. Just needs to find a solution to evening up the balance up the other end. Injuries and lack of actual player quality dont help. Hopefully some more depth to select from come the ipswich game and onwards. It very much feels like anything from any game at the moment is a positive. If you average 2 losses in 9 through out the season you probably sit in the top 6 come end of the season, with wins rather than draws though 😉 Jeez I made a positive spin on a load of waffle I have written.

If we go down, which is looking more likely each week. I would like the club to give the job to Damian Johnson, and just leave him be with it. Been here long enough, knows the players from top to bottom. Id happily let him learn his trade at first team level with us, if we have no money to use. Would feel more encouraged by him to carry a broken skint ship than John eustace. If John keeps us up now (I dont think he will, but obviously hope he does), then lets see what he can do in the summer and next season. But if we go down, id rather go with Damian Johnson.

I dont see eustace giving his 11 the "freedom" to go an play. i predict we play like an away side on the counter and he rotates 3 or 4. Wouldnt blame him for doing it either. Im going to be negative here, on the basis of what i saw Tuesday. I think we get pumped. 3 zip. Hope im wrong! We seem to lack balance. I feel Eustace style of play is to be tight away from home, which i get, but I also feel its gets it into the final 3rd and play from there, which again, is fine, but nobody can get it to stick in that final 3rd, it all seems to weak or 100mph. Plus the majority of passes and balls into that final 3rd seemed dreadful Tuesday. Works both ways. Absolutely nothing clicked. Even when we we tried to sit in we still seemed open. fingers crossed for a positive result anyway.

I do wonder if JDT does go, whether this would be the smartest move. A bit like with Garry Bowyer first went in the hotseat. He already knows they players and what there capabale of, and he will of seen where we are struggling. It might just be the best option till end of season and maybe enjoy a tiny wave of positive results. We do have a fair bit of youth, and for someone that already knows them might help. Rather than a championship manager journeyman that may just rip it all up. I do actually think we just need minor tweaks and we can kick start back up the league again. It really just needs balance on matchday lineups and being a bit more cute defensively as a group, rather than so open.

I think at best we draw.... I dont see how losing so many games turns into clean sheets and victory. Just need to stop the rot atm somehow, and get back to basics, take a draw. JDT needs to field a side and formation with balance at both ends of the pitch. As much of a circus shambles as we are, hes having a stinker atm in terms of selections imo. He needs to have a long hard look in the mirror, the one thing he can control is the group of players he does have, and that should be his focus. Ive seen worse teams stay up. Any manager in this dreadful form with half a brain gets a team back to basics, and tries to reset and build confidence back up. Cant keep blaming players, Ive seen worse sides in this division than our current crop. Belief into players and instructions to players comes from him, end of. Get us believing again JDT! I would be amazed if JDT really thought wharton would not of gone with the amount of money being offered, and it being a prem move. I wonder if he was either at the club late, or maybe he just wants to crack on with training as hes got about 5 new lads to get to know and work with. He will also now have a bit of a selection headache for Saturday. Either a bench full of newbies or he throws some straight in. I would put a positive spin on it that hes refused to do a press conference as its all systems go and he needs the time on the coaching field rather than discussing loan signings of OAPs and children hes prob never heard of.
