  1. Can I genuinely offer you a bit of advice as a fellow support. Please take what Waggott says with a pinch of salt. He told me face to face, that the funds would be coming in February to keep the club afloat and stated that we only had enough to keep us going until February, back in November. That now has to mean that the Wharton and Raya money will be used to fund the clubs day to day costs and not transfers. Any future sales in the summer, are highly unlikely to be used to strengthen, so there is a strong possibility that we go into next season, even weaker. I hate to sound overly pessimistic, but my view on the Indian court decision, is is certainly not a foregone conclusion, which is what Waggott stated about the February hearing and is now doing to again, about August.
  2. We are still in danger of going down, despite becoming harder to beat and that's down to just one win in 12 under Eustace, which let's face it, is poor. If we draw or lose on Wednesday and lose at Leeds (maybe I am being too pessimistic but I see that as a nailed on defeat) then it will be one win in 14 which is abysmal. The jury is still firmly out in my mind, but to be fair, it we do get a win on Wednesday, then I think we will be safe and that's job done. In my view, keeping us up will be a clean slate for me and I hope we can sort our finances out and get some decent signings in, to give him a chance next season.
  3. Can't be accurate as all teams will end up playing 46 won't they?
  4. It could be nerves. I will be happy for all the half time scores to stay as they are, as we edge towards safety.
  5. Cup draw. Generally used in December when the FA cup gets serious. The third round cup draw is a highlight of the season for many, especially the surviving teams, from the lower leagues.
  6. If he is patient enough, it could be less. Buying us out of administration would be cheaper than that. Given how the owners are peddling the narrative to the court of protecting their investment and putting a bond up, to ensure their integrity, the court hearing in August, could be the first step on the road to us being almost worthless. Given the annual statement in the accounts saying we are trading in an insolvent manner, the club is not exactly a gold mine and let’s face it, we are a heartbeat away from being in the third tier.
  7. I think Pickering may be out.
  8. How much did we get for Raya in the end, excluding the £5m we seem to be due at some point in the not too distant future?
  9. Send to Waggott, not that it will make any difference.
  10. The Sheff Weds game has now become a must not lose rather than must win now, so I don't think you will be lynched. By the time the game comes around, we may be all but safe, as I think 3 or 4 points from the 3 games before that, will mean it is all over bar the shouting, for us at least.
  11. I said at half time, it was a huge half coming up, both in terms of the season and the future of the club. A relegation this season, would take some serious recovering from, but hopefully yesterdays result, has eased those fears now. The two key players for me yesterday, were Szmodics and Dolan. I also thought JRC was superb and his assist for the second was excellent. I watched it on Rovers TV from Spain, as I have all bar 3 of the league games this year, although instead of the TV nearly being launched, yesterday it was decked in Blue and white ribbons post match. The monkey is now off the Managers back, so hopefully, we can pick up some points in the next 2 and the shredded nerves, can take a break for the last count le of games.
  12. Dreamland this and one every single fan deserves. Does this feel good at last.
  13. It’s a very big half coming up now, not only in our season, but in our history. A win today pumps belief back into everyone and maybe gives the manager the boost he needs. Come on Rovers, let’s do it and give us the belief we need.
  14. It could be the transmissible illness he is referring to.
  15. Not at all. I am basing my opinion on not only the results, but also the way we have played. If he keeps us up, I will go into the summer as a very relieved fan and so far as I am concerned, the slate is then clean for next season, with the manager. For clarity, I do not blame the manager for the current mess, he was on a hiding to nothing.
  16. I will actually why would I not?
  17. It can be about attitude and hopefully we treat this as a must win game and go for it. I do not want us set up to try and snatch a point.
  18. I really can't accept that. If he had won 3 or 4 of his first 10 instead of the current none, I am pretty sure that he would have already won the fan base over. The facts are there in black and white and not only that, the brand of football has been very poor so far too. If he wins today and again on Saturday, he will win a section over too and even keeping us up will probably do the trick.
  19. If the people who used to work for us for nothing can make a few quid out of it, then what not the odd fan?
  20. Whether he was Waggotts appointment or Broughton's is a mute point. You asked about the circumstances that I was referring to in my post and my reply explained these circumstances. I guess you are of the opinion of the jury is out at the minute, as I fail to see how anyone can be happy with him at the minute. I am very unhappy with the appointment and as already stated, I will nail my colours to the mast and state that he will take us down and the blame falls with who appointed him as well as the guy himself. I can see this, perhaps you and Waggott can't and if I am proved to be wrong, I will hold my hands up. Do you think he will keep us up?
  21. Stick £70 on now whilst we are 7/2 (Paddy power) to go down and it will be free.
  22. He was honest too and I struggle to think of anyone else under these owners being honest and telling the fans, as it is.
  23. Here is my view on the situation, using Rovers and the teams currently below us and their remaining fixtures. 24. I was told by a client of mine, who is a journalist for one of the red tops, that he is very uncomfortable doing press interviews, so what you say there, does appear to be spot on.
