150th Anniversary kit/celebrations
lraC replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I have said before, it needs to be an unofficial fans takeover day and the closer it gets to the fixture, the more obvious it is, that is the only way, it will get the recognition it deserves. I recently bought two retro shirts off this sire, one for me and one for my son. Get something designed around the 150 and let's push that to deal, instead of this flimsy T Shirts that look like they will fall apart after one wash. -

My mates son played with him at Barrow and the same goes, although he was the richest apparently. -

Letโs not forget that in the past, things were a little bit strange when it came to transfers, in the early years of Venkys ownership. The one constant in all that time has been Pasha, so is this the reason we have seen so many transfers, this season. There is still something strange going on and the bullshit that has come out over the last few days, heightens my suspicions. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-2030832/Nick-Harris-Agent-paid-1-65m-deal-player-cost-400-000.html -

Venkyโs v Indian Government (a)
lraC replied to tomphil's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I have always thought this was the sort of reason for our owners refusing point blank to listen to any offers. History tells us that Abramovich was unlikely to have sold Chelsea, had he not been forced to do so and he we now have these allegations coming to light. There is a story in todays Guardian about him being under investigation for claims of corruption and money laundering, yet he seemed to get through the FA fit and proper test, with no problems. Seeing what we have with Rovers takeover and listening to some of the threats made in the past and more recently to people, who dared to question the regime, it strikes me that there is something sinister to hide at Rovers too. The badly advised line has had it's time, yet they still refuse to entertain the merest sniff of an offer to buy, which in my opinion, is due to fear of what is now buried out of sight. I am sure like with Chelsea it would come to light, if a proper investigation took place or if due diligence, was applied to the accounts and a deep dive was carried out, but that's just my opinion on it. -

I can answer all of them, not in terms of what I really believe, but in terms of spin and lies, that some of the more gullible amongst the fan base will swallow. Why do the senior players who have left prefer to be at another club rather than at Blackburn Rovers? They either decided not to renew their contracts and we did not want to risk losing them for nothing, as in the past, or in some cases they wanted to be closer to home. The players who we have been brought in are cheaper options but are they better than the ones they are replacing? Only time will tell. we had a budget to work to and believe we have worked to that and strengthened the team, at the same time. The Championship is now stronger and more competitive so why are the club reducing wages, which we all know usually relates to success on the pitch? We also believe we are stronger and more versatile than last year and expect once the new players have bedded, in they will show their quality. Why no mention of appointing a new CEO for a multi million pound organisation? We will appoint one in good time, but in the meantime, we have an adequate and capable COO instead. Why do the fans want you out Rudy? Have you asked them? It is only a small number and the rest are giving the regime and the players their full backing. ๐ ๐ ๐ -

It is one hell of a good argument, if the worst happens and we get relegated. All the other teams got stronger, as well as us but they got even stronger than us. It was a much stronger league overall and as we over achieved last season, it wasn't our fault that we under achieved this season and went down. Next. -
Let's face it we have seen that before and unless I am very much mistaken, Henning Berg and Derek Shaw, were both paid substantial amounts, having done so. Nice to know the club have learnt from their past mistakes though.

Venkyโs (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
lraC replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Given this valuation and how supposedly our owners send ยฃ20m per year to keep the club afloat (although do have my doubts) is it any wonder that they are being asked to provided a bond, to be able to send future funds? There has been a statement made to the effect that they need to send this money to protect their investment, but given that every 2 and half years, the amount they send, is equivalent to the current value, that statement appears to be very miss leading. Perhaps that is the reason the judge keeps going AWOL as he will not be waiving the need for a bond, despite these frequent attempts to do so. -
Full agree about both of these people, especially about the last line about cowardice. No doubting that people like him, are happy to threaten people who they consider to be inferior to them and go off crying, once they receive the proverbial punch on the nose. I despise bullies.
-
Letโs not forget, itโs a case of him now making decisions, when he has previously been happy to force a move and announce, he was not in the right frame of mind to play for the club.

He won't and that's why I said, any self respecting manager, as I believe him to be as big a part if it as Gestede and Pasha. -

That's exactly what I was thinking around 4.00am this morning, as I struggled to sleep due to this lot. Any self respecting person, would steam into the office this morning, play holy roaring fuck and shove their contract right up Gestede's and Pasha's arses. I feel like doing it myself and I am just a fan. -

So we have a guy, who in his previous stint at Ewood, refused to play, to force a move away. He then teams up, with the most hated manager the club has ever had, in Australia, where no doubt they shared stories, about how disgusting Rovers fans are. He then somehow returns to our club, under the guise of gaining some work experience and to shadow the CEO. Not long after, the CEO is removed and seems to have been all but replaced, by the work experience trainee. He then sets about upsetting people who have been at the club, for many years, in many cases, local people, who have lived in the area, most of their lives. This results in many leaving and due the some of them, having close relationships with some of the players, this rattles certain players, who in turn, give Gestede a piece of their minds. This then leads to said players having their cards marked and being frozen out, or moved on. Meanwhile the manager carries on unfazed by it all and accepts his lot, in the hope that he can somehow make a silk purse, out of a sows ear, but his record suggests, we will end up with two sows ears. Whilst all this is going on, our absent owners, try to persuade a judge thousands of miles away to allow them to have the requirement for a bond to be lifted, to allow them to protect their investment. Rumours then surface, that they are about to be heavily fined and further restrictions, placed on their businesses. Despite this, they still insist the club is not for sale, at any price, so donโt dare even asking if they will consider an offer. Despite all of this, we are only true fans of the club, if we get behind the lads FFS.
