Be interesting to see what the announced attendance is.

I fell asleep before his actual dismissal, but I saw he got away with an attempted drive to cover only which was caught, only for it to be judged a no ball. Very next delivery he wafts at one wide outside off stump and luckily the Aussie slip cordon were statues for a change. He's summed up quite a lot of our batting this trip.

Eloquent post. @chaddyrovers I’m tagging you deliberately because you’ve explained why the boycott doesn’t work for you and you’re exactly the kind of committed match going supporter the coalition would need on side to have a huge impact. Setting aside past arguments and personalities, I’d genuinely like to ask this in practical terms. If this were a straight “how could the coalition get you onside?” question, what one or two specific actions or commitments from the coalition would make you more willing to engage with it? Not necessarily to agree with everything, but enough to feel it was moving in a direction you could support. I’m not asking why you don’t back it now and I’m not asking you to defend your position. I’m asking what would actually change things for you. If the coalition wants to grow beyond its current base, understanding what would persuade supporters like you feels very important.

I can tell that Ismael is going to put some blame on the officials. He's walked over to them at full time to remonstrate, ignoring the fact he keeps setting the team up so.we go in at half time, behind. -

Can't help but notice a few stewards or police around the NO1 section in the stairway, it's noticeable because there isn't any similar presence anywhere else. Is that usual? I can imagine it's a Pasha move re: the sign. -
Thank you.

Thinking a little further ahead, is there any way to obtain the actual attendance figures for every home game so far, whether via the police or another source? That would allow us to judge whether the Watford boycott had any genuine impact, instead of relying on the club’s official figures, which have a well-established tendency to stretch the truth. My concern is that the wider media and even some posters on here, will default to the club’s numbers and use them to argue that nobody attended the boycott

To those who have historically defended this. What patterns of play are we trying to initiate? We look all over the shop. It's not all Val's fault but he is part of the problem, he's lost the dressing room here. -

First time seeing any of the highlights. Pears beaten at his near post for the first goal. Not the first time that's happened from memory. If he starts against Charlton today, it's criminal. -

That's a fair assessment. Considering our recent transfer policy, we're likely to need 11 ESC slots. -

Unless we drop down to League one and then I think we're restricted on ESC slots regardless of academy products? I might be talking waffle, but I bet we haven't considered that. -
Just to back this up. The 22nd June was when the Sunderland Echo published an article that the ex-black cats CEO Martin Bain was 'close to being appointed' as the new Rovers CEO. Although I'm glad he didn't get the position in the end. That just about sums up the urgency of it all.

VI has a short memory. All the transfer budgets gone on improving the pitch, with his blessing. 😂 -
Whoever is trying to organise this. Please feel free to get in touch via DM. I spoke with someone who is heavily involved with Prism in the town centre and they'd be more than happy to help get the ball rolling and provide some expertise and knowledge on what is needed.

You could possibly contact prism in the town centre. They have a mural at the back of their building + have commissioned others in the area too. Jamie Holman is likely a good bet to contact.

We desperately need 2 strikers, never mind 1. We've got Ohashi and that's your lot, as much as I like the bloke and his relentless workrate, he can't find the onion bag on a regular enough basis to be hanging out hopes on him. January is not the best time for it, but we need to push the boat out for a certified goalscorer across those 2 striker spots. if Gudjohnsen isn't scoring, we're up shit creek. -
Hes also gone for the most runs from any bowler on either team and has gone for nearly 5 an over on average across 8 innings. Although you've kind of agreed with me shortly afterwards by saying it's about being accurate and tight (which is 100% correct).
-
Wasn't aware of that, as enthralling as it all was I went to bed very early on day 2 realising it would all be over before I woke up again.
-
I'd replace Brydon Carse for the final test. Bar a couple of sessions in Perth and a bowlers wet dream at the MCG, our bowling attack has been nothing short of horrific. Carse probably the worst culprit, cannot consistently get the right line or length needed for the track he's playing on. Tongue has shown them all where to pitch it since coming into the side. If he's already over there, I'd bring Matthew Potts in.

I really hope we would be looking for someone better than Ambrose, although I know absolutely nothing about him granted. Just looking at his career, he has scored frequently this season, because they're in the second tier in Belgium which is littered with U23 teams. Throughout his career he's struggled at the top tier seemingly, both at Metz and Lens, with a small improvement at Oostende. Doing a very lazy comparison. We bought Gueye from a relegated Belgian top tier team, in hindsight, knowing what we know, I wouldn't be rushing to repeat that signing if the option was there. You're right though, it's the kind of signing we'd make considering we have history with that club and he probably wouldn't need a special visa or whatever it is. -
