  1. It does appear as though they want a clean slate, anyone who came through the previous regime or questions the current one, is out on their arse.
  2. I agree, I think we need a striker as is. I don't envisage we'll pick one up without an outgoing first (as has been the case all summer). If Harry goes too and we don't add to the central position, then it's panic stations .
  3. If Harry goes out on loan, we need a minimum of 2 attackers imo (RW and Striker) . So just saying "another" worries me.
  4. This is where I lie and I think many others. I believe a blend of Championship experience and unknown quantities from Europe are the way to go. Like you, I worry we've potentially tipped the balance in one direction too much and it will have a negative impact.
  5. Taking it Higgins has left? Don't think he's been in any squad.
  6. The reason we haven't signed any contracts is because after the "press send" fiasco of the previous winter transfer windows, we've decided to revert to older technology that's more reliable. We're currently in the process of identifying an ink supplier for the recently delivered quills.
  7. I Wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.
  8. You would only talk about the potential fee, if you thought people would be pissed off about the guaranteed fee. Otherwise (like most other transfers around) you would mention both. Can we please not pretend otherwise.
  9. Posted just as a few were saying it's getting a bit quiet on the incoming transfer front. Hi Privvy 👋
  10. No surprise about Trav, he's been training on his own (entirely away from the club) with a coach of some kind. He posted a short clip on Instagram a couple of days ago training in what looked like a small park somewhere. Surprised it wasn't mentioned more.
  11. Playing devil's advocate, if say, Dolan or someone established in the first team had said that, would you have the same opinion or be congratulating them on making the situation public?
  12. So we've potentially loaned a player to a team and we don't know when he's due to return?
  13. I've always thought the best plan of action is trying to get some kind of traction in the Indian media, although I'm sure it's nigh on impossible. Indian farmers have been struggling and protesting for a number of years, with Venkys a huge proponent of contracting farming. I wonder if the regular person in India is aware they've spunked £200m over 15 years on a failed sporting project in England, all whilst they're scrapping the barrel to survive? It would be horrible to see Joe public in India go against the Venksters.
  14. I've wondered similar at times. I cannot comment on their performances for the U21's, but I get the impression the academy players are all much of a muchness. Excluding the obvious Wharton's and Tyjons, the optics are that you get your opportunity if the manager at the time likes you and you take on board his tactics, if you don't, chance gone.
  15. Haven't watched a single ball kicked, but the stats say we had 2 shots on target. If that's correct, at home, shocking.
  16. I used to, I don't love what it currently is. If I've read the minutes right, the wife's told me she'd rather let me lapse and get someone younger instead.
  17. Sounds like we can build a team around everyone at the club then. Why were we panicking? it's all under control.
  18. Thank you for the insight. It's no surprise that Trav is being portrayed as the villain, it's been in the playbook for anyone who wouldn't agree a new contract and has subsequently left. We'd like to think people are catching wise to it, but sadly, there's more sand in the Blackburn area than I'd originally accounted for...
  19. So who exactly are we building a team around?
  20. Maybe we were hedging his potential compensation figure for his replacement and now that's not come about, we're snookered.
  21. Looks like Rudy picked up a thing or two whilst shadowing Waggott.
