  1. I don't live in the town, but I worked in Blackburn as a youngster during my college years, went to Blackburn college and went out around Blackburn almost twice a week for drinks (do I ever miss Barzooka). I've visited twice in the past 12 months to see a contractor and left immediately afterwards. Sadly the town is a mirror of the club as it stands.
  2. You've seen one image and not verified anything in there. If you went onto transfermarkt you would note that the fees besides Dom Hyam, Lewis Travis, Harry Leonard and Callum Brittain are all followed with a ? - so they are not included in any calculation for money received. The only two confirmed fees are John Buckley and JRC who combined are 2.03 million euros.
  3. Understand your point and can see why you think that. On the flip side, shortly after that game you mentioned, their manager was sacked and replaced by Pereira (very end of December) who then clearly made a very quick decision that he wasn't in his plans.
  4. Dave probably wasn't a supporter pre takeover either.
  5. So to recap in numbers, based off last season. 19,863 minutes of experience have left this summer 232 Championship starts between them 3 of our top 5 appearance-makers have departed permanently 2 stooges 1 inexperienced pariah playing β€œreal-life Football Manager” 0 contract renewals
  6. Then you might as well stick to posting exclusively on matchday threads if that's your view.
  7. To add to this because it's a crazy percentage, If Hyam does leave as expected, that's 43% of all potential minutes from last season eradicated in the form of permanent transfers out. Over 50% if Pears doesn't play another minute for us (although I do far prefer Toth).
  8. Here's a protest idea. See if we can get more people to turn up to the next fans forum than would normally attend Ewood for a game.
  9. I know numbers don't always tell the whole story, but if Hyam does go, here's some stats. Of the 8 players that will have been moved on, between them they made 223 starts last season, 219 of those were full 90 minute appearances (meaning those 8 averaged 28 full games each). 3 of our top 5 appearance makers are gone, It also leaves out Aynsley Pears, who sits second for minutes and appearances; include him in the exiled list and that becomes 4 of our top 5. I've excluded all loanees from the list too. That is nothing short of a catastrophic loss of experience and continuity. No amount of lipstick can hide that.
  10. He refused to play (table tennis with the new lads at the STC) so we've had no choice but to sell him.
  11. I really, truly hope this is sarcasm. Or nuance is becoming a lost art.
  12. Absolutely drowning in contract extensions.
  13. Or give Hyam a pay rise rather than expecting him to sign on the same terms?
  14. I don't imagine the club would divulge information like that in a public domain. But that being said, I don't think I've ever seen an official club photo where a cap is being worn by a player on every available image.
  15. How long before we get an under/over market on "here we go" social posts?
  16. So, I think it was @Ossydave who said it was off because we wanted more. Sounds like he may have been on the money.
  17. Remarkable we were better with 10 men than 11, we looked organised and more dangerous in the second half. Hedges had a good game, looked hungry throughout , Toth doesn't give me jitters every time he has the ball and Alebiosu looks so far to be the best of our signings this summer. The season before last we couldn't keep a clean sheet, last season we didn't score enough to turn draws into wins. I fear the backline looks weaker and we've not really added much in attack (yet). So there's some work to do over the final days/hours of the window. Poor defending for the second goal just backing off inviting Sargent to strike. Ohashi and Gueye offered very little, mainly because they're offside more often than not. Tavares needs a rocket up his ass, he looks lackadaisical and without the quality to back it up.
  18. @BinoBear hope you enjoyed the match as a neutral. Would be Interesting to get your take on how we looked as a team.
  19. Can't wait until we sign a striker who can stay onside.
  20. Can't believe I'm saying this but, I'd keep Hedges on, he's been our best player imo, followed closely by Alebiosu.
  21. Well, that's one take. Mine is that we have yet to have a shot on target and whilst the possession may be equal, they've looked twice as threatening as we have.
  22. Kargbo does look slower than last season, I'm convinced. I don't know if he's been told to slow down but Hedges looks like road runner in comparison.
  23. It might be my eyesight, but Hedges looks as quick as Kargbo and is obviously better on the ball (which is difficult for me to say out loud).
