  1. Additionally I feel for McGuire who has really wanted to come to England to test himself and has potentially been robbed of that for the time being. Should the appeal fail, I do hope he gets his opportunity next season. Also just for some critical thinking. If as reported, we did renege on the initial agreement whilst he was mid flight over to England. Why wouldn't they purposely cock-up the paper work so they didn't have to shell out a loan fee?
  2. I seem to remember post last January's debacle, when GB came out and faced the music, he specifically said that the process re: paperwork submission had been reviewed and measures put in place to ensure that it wouldn't happen again. It's really difficult to know how much he is to blame individually for this cock up (if at all), it's clear however that not all the senior team are singing from the same hymn sheet. I've worked and arguably still work in an environment very similar and sadly, no-one wins. Broughton will not want this debacle on his CV, it serves him no favours for his future in football, which for all intents and purposes had gone quite well prior to him rocking up at Ewood. On the other hand Waggott is extremely unlikely to have/want or need another job in the sport, whilst Suhail is a Venkys stooge who will get repurposed at one of their other 'business ventures' (like a lot of the useless lot do), have they purposely ballsed up to keep the shareholders sweet and top up their pension/ensure job safety in the future? (delete as appropriate). Or do Venkys want to portray optics of doing the right thing, whilst in the background preventing any and all investments long term? Are the two even mutually exclusive? Any new owners would see right through Waggott, likely point and laugh at Suhail's management abilities and no doubt waltz Sylvester out the door within the first fortnight. The problems start and fucking end with Venkys and anyone they've directly employed. As a side note if Alan Nixon is reading this, your relative defence of Venkys on twitter this evening can get to fuck, you big fat Thistley bellend.
  3. Oh there were some Venkys/Waggott out chants today??
  4. As I say, I wasn't trying to be facetious, for me he's a good barometer that if they've lost him, then as you say, the wider fan base will (surely to Christ) be in a similar position.
  5. I'd like to know what @chaddyrovers thinks of everything that's going on. Someone who tries to find the positives in as much as they can, if Venkys et al have lost him, the god help them. (This is not a sly dig at Chaddy at all, just general intrigue).
  6. Think that bit is important to note. He's literally told us who to point the blame at. The day before the window closed there were some (albeit loose) links to players who I thought more closely aligned to the 'project'. The day after, it's nothing but loans. If you can't read between the lines now, then you're a blind person.
  7. I thought a few on here said the Friday debacle was all to do about nothing?
  8. Just seen the other thread and some of the apparent twitter posts. I've somehow jumped the gun.... potentially similar to rovers socials.
  9. Surely we wouldn't have released the social videos and put it on the official website if so. I wouldn't expect him to be around today, give him an opportunity to sort moving his things to the UK.
  10. The bit for me in Andy Bayes' statement is Club Decision. I may be reading into it a bit much, but that doesn't read as though it's been a JDT only choice to not talk.
  11. So JDT not being allowed to talk to the media, enforced by the club. It's likely Our manager thinks it's a joke what we've done in the transfer market, I can't think of any other obvious reason why they'd stop him committing to his duties. It is startling that an outsider with no ties to the club apart from a pay packet, thinks we're being duped, and a large portion of fans don't.
  12. So confirmed that's the end of our dealings for the day?
  13. So you're a Venkys employee then? They're the only 'we' that benefit.
  14. Latest rumour, my tongue has decided to depart for pastures new.
  15. For me Caddy, there's no viable reason for it, regardless of what Rovers might say.
  16. By a 'journalist' (quotes as I don't know if he is or just an Orlando fan) who probably had no idea who we were 3 days ago. Yet our local reports from radio and print cry wolf on behalf of Venkys.
  17. I'm biting my tongue until after the deadline. Concerns grow for my tongues overall safety.
  18. Ok Elliott....but you've fallen for the "look at the shiny" trick. The replacements, what about the replacements??
  19. That doesn't make sense. Orlando wouldn't have sanctioned him to get on a plane and come to England if the structure of the deal hadn't been acceptable beforehand. Face it, the owners have waded their way into it again knowing they're too far away to feel the impact.
  20. That kind of thinking would be giving Waggott too much credit.
  21. It's either equal to, or just shy of Phil Jones isn't it?
  22. Me neither sadly, my argument is it should at least be a record fee received before we even start to entertain the idea. I'd want £25m guaranteed personally, but i'd also want him back on loan until the end of the season being greedy.
