  1. So he's fallen off because he's wanted to go back to Bournemouth?
  2. I get your dislike for Broughton, but for me you've hit the nail on the head with Pune & Maggott. All signs lead to the fact that one won't sanction any money for players over a certain age (see Batth and what an earlier poster wrote). The other is just happy to pick up a wage without applying himself to the club imo. This lad is not really what we need, unless someone is off or we aren't renewing Barnes contract. However its clear that signing anyone over a certain age is a no go for the dicks who raise chicks. I think Broughton is working with one arm behind his back. The small light I can see, is that we are at least making moves early in the window, which is a pleasant surprise. Goalscorer next please.
  3. No idea, he was ineffective like the rest of them for that first half, but Trav didn't offer much when coming on either.
  4. I do wonder if he might give us another year after this one, regardless of promotion.
  5. I don't get this dislike for Broughton amongst quarters. If memory serves, it wasn't even Waggott who hired him, it was an agency. So I'm sure there's sour grapes on that front with him not being a 'mate'. We also have Broughton to thank for JDT, we were nowhere near a managerial appointment before his arrival. With the limited time he had and a partial recruitment team already in place, if certain targets met what the new management team were looking for - prior to their arrival, then why not sign them? The 3 examples above haven't harmed. Tronstad is starting to look like a good foil in midfield, I'll concede that Sigurdsson needs to show more as does Ennis if he's ever fit and Telalovic is a stab in the dark. All the while working with one arm behind his back this summer seemingly and his second arm being prepared for this winter. He does have a red spot for me on the O'Brien front. He does however seem ambitious, just like our manager. Waggott on the other hand is seemingly happy to plod on and toe the Venky line. Does he have or show much passion for the club? Does working for Venkys inspire him? The answer to both is likely no, yet he's happy to pick up the wage. I get plenty of marketing emails telling me about half season tickets (although not the Watford game for some bizzare reason) but nothing that comes out of his mouth makes me think we'll ever find ourselves in the Premier League again, so as someone else above has alluded to, why part with my cash? The biggest problems, lie above both Broughton and Waggott. Sadly it seems like they've no intention of selling us or giving a fuck.
  6. What's he dog shit at exactly? He makes certain mistakes as any 18 year old will by being asked to be brave on the ball. Not that it says much, but he won the most tackles for us tonight and won the ball back the most.
  7. To be fair, that's what he admits to in the article and is no doubt in part caused by his recent mental struggles. You could class me as a detractor of Tyrhys' however his performance against QPR was very good, even if I did have a little dig at him at half time. If he continues playing for the team he will reap the benefits, I can think of a fantastic pass he played in front of Szmodics in the second half and the simple lay-off to Sigurdsson for his second. Let's hope that kick starts his season.
  8. I thought he really started to settle towards the end of last season and having a whole pre-season with us is paying dividends (Venky's take note for next summers transfer strategy, ha!) What's surprised me is his finishing and that he gets himself into dangerous positions so regularly. I hope he comes back unscathed but he more than deserves a call-up and a cap imo. Watching the videos of training that Rovers put on social media, he's certainly the cheeky chap and seems well liked by the players and staff on the whole. I think his young family have moved up North too so I imagine that's also having a positive effect on him. Keep it coming Sammie.
  9. You can also tell Tronstad knows his position. 2 or 3 times that half he's known where to be and when, covering some of our mistakes. Also looks confident enough with the ball at his feet, he does however look like he's running in treacle most of the time.
  10. This is the most impressed I've been with Markanday. He's been decent defensively and has kept it simple going forwards. Could do with the penny dropping for Dolan now.
  11. I did send a tweet to Elliott Jackson a few days ago asking if he would contact Swag regarding the BBE closure. Mercer summed it up well, I shouldn't have to contact him to ask questions of the club. Regardless, i've not heard back from him at all. Is he a Rovers fan?
  12. Composure, what we've been lacking. Great pass, good finish.
  13. I've just sent him a tweet to ask if he could contact the club (specifically Waggott)
  14. Wharton's been poor the majority of this half. Both him and Trav go sliding in or to the ground too often for my liking and get bypassed.
