  1. I had a feeling our striker search might not be what we were hoping once the Tyjon news started coming to the fore a week or so ago. Since then, Rovers' Instagram has had multiple pictures, interviews and has even posted a video following just Igor during a training session, the day after he signed his contract. I know social media really jazzes up signings these days, but I found it odd that a 16 year old was getting similar exposure a proper first team signing would get. They are already gearing us up for what we can expect this coming season.
  2. I've seen a couple of those mobile electronic billboard vans driving round the Blackburn area recently. What about getting one to slowly drive around Ewood with an advert on it during gameday. Might even get some traction on Sky if its done during a televised game.
  3. The biggest reason we lose £15m a season is due to the league we're in, something which Venkys oversaw. It's almost as if there's some memory loss from some about that.
  4. Yeah...and they should stick to pissing in a portakabin too and the coffee machine?! Forget it. I get your premis, but some of the follow-up comments away from the payment fiasco are what really shows the rotten underbelly of BRFC.
  5. Sharpe's personal substack stories on the club have been good. That alone shows you're likely hamstrung by what you can and can't say when working for the LT. Trying to hold people and companies to account gets you punished these days.
  6. I saw a twitter post by a Danish journalist who stated that "a deal had been in place for a long time" re: Wahlstedt We do seem to have little issues in organising outgoings and even keeping to our word by agreeing a deal for a later date and sticking to it.
  7. Sick of Bellingham trying to gee up the crowd. We've been collectively dogshit for 3 and a half games, give us something to cheer about first.
  8. Well 5 minutes in and any decent side would be 2 up against us.
  9. Doesn't trust his squad in the group games, then when will he trust them?
  10. Austria have been great to watch this tournament and if they top the group it's an unbelievable achievement. The only downside to the game is the co-commentator.
  11. Correct! and we've only bought 3 of them...in very patriotic colours mind.
  12. There's a thought. Maybe we're doing more cutbacks and the team will travel to games in a series of state of the art Mini Coopers.
  13. You'd be best off saying "I wanted 3 in by now and I'm disappointed that the club haven't done that" - 3 is what you wanted and you haven't got it. So you can therefore be critical of the club if you think that's what we needed and it hasn't happened.
  14. I don't think signing a 25 year old who's played the majority of his football at League 2 or lower is what we need, regardless of price. I understand that players can make the step up but we need players who can hit the ground running and don't need time to bed in.
  15. £10m sees us stand still and we have no room to reverse any further. So we need substantial backing in my view, backing I don't see anytime soon.
  16. Have to say, I think it's a huge mistake. We have to be careful with the little money we have and it can't be spent on passengers.
  17. Sounds like we have at least £23m available to spend this summer then, that's even before the owners "back us".
  18. I can see why you didn't give a name - imagine the grief you would've got!
  19. So an absolute novice with zero experience as a 'Head Of' in any capacity, is in charge of the footballing operations at a Championship club. "There's no reason why Rudy shouldn't be here" - yes there is, see above. "We've all got to start somewhere" - Yes, usually cutting your teeth on the checkouts or being a barista. In no other world would anyone be given 'Head Of' prior to having ANY experience in a similar capacity. None of it makes sense. He's been shadowing Waggott with the hopes of becoming a CEO hasn't he? So why does he have a job in an area he's not interested in?
