  1. Becks out on his arse and needs some more cover.
  2. Beck had that shove from the Dingle after the ball went out, they exchanged a few words and I think the penny dropped.
  3. Yeah to be fair to those two, Owen and whoever else has been involved in the background. A good job in doing as much as they can with what they were given. It's clear they've had scraps to work with, little to no reinvestment of any sales and they've spent every single penny possible. They've plugged as many gaps as possible (although I think we can all agree we could've done with a couple more). All done, despite Venkys.
  4. Work colleague follows them around. Says he can pick a pass or cross, but only once he's finished with his stepovers. Apparently loads of fans raved about him last season, his personal view is that he couldn't see it (thinks he's too greedy). Might be decent with better players around him.
  5. I see Dolan as being unveiled as "like a new signing" and being used out wide rather than centrally.
  6. "Talks going in the right direction" Again, lots of noise but no final outcome yet. The longer it drags on, the more worried I become. Which is odd as I wasn't bothered about Cantwell when the news first came out, but at the rumoured upfront cost it seems a good deal.
  7. There's a lot of noise around Cantwell. I can't help but think people have been asked to put out these details in the hope something 'better' turns up for him. Recent history states players we've managed to bring through the door were kept quiet until pretty much done.
  8. If it has to be a loan for financial reasons that apparently don't exist, then Travers is as good as it gets and would be a good signing in my opinion. It would be great if there's an option to buy at a fixed price next summer.
  9. A goalkeeper has to be top priority at the moment. However if there was a genuine opportunity to get Poku, it should be taken. We need more, quicker options from out wide and he fits the bill, plus seems to have an end product. He's young and if this lot really are trying to stay afloat by developing potential and selling for a profit, he would seemingly fit the criteria.
  10. Or someone who was being facetious and it went over the head of a serial bore.
  11. I'm vertically challenged and better than Pears, so it's likely.
  12. Let's hope so. Based purely on the teams he's played for, age and likely ability (granted I've never seen him play) he's the best of the options we've been linked with that are still available IMO (Iversen is probably next best).
  13. Again, that tosspot said we'd overpaid for Szmodics and he was never worth what we paid. He will say whatever he wants to appease himself and the Posh.
  14. Why is everyone complaining? They've just released a new backstage Instagram video...get behind the lads FFS. 🙄
  15. Watching it, when Hedges came off, looks like he was holding his shin and talking to Procter about it. About right.
  16. His end product is wanting is what RF99 has said a number of times and I agree.
  17. I'm hopeful we'd look for another 2 across the front line. I still see both Vale and Leonard going out on loan and we've lost our 2 most experienced players from the front 4 (granted Gally couldn't finish his tea).
  18. That's where I'm at. We have to be at a point where no further outgoings can be sanctioned. Certainly not for any players in and around the first team last season. We now need to add quality and in numbers (minimum 5 imo).
  19. The majority of us know it's not going to be reinvested. But that's not Sammie Szmodics fault.
  20. The anger is one thing, but money grabbing and contract honouring? He's moving up to play in what a lot of fans, pundits and players see as the best league in the world, all after returning 4x what we paid for him. He does his ACL in the next game at Rovers, do you think this fabled £22k week wage remains on the table or the Ipswich offer? It's cut throat and he's doing what's best for him and challenging himself to boot. A Lucash Neill he is not.
  21. How many permanents and what will we spend fee wise before the end of the window? I have it at roughly £17 million brought in and £2 million (max) spent.
  22. I remember the gobshite MacAnthony saying he's never worth 2.5 million. Correct, he's worth closer to 10.
  23. Yeah first thing I thought across both games, his shots a bit weak and he's not overly accurate.
