Fair analysis having seen it now. Would add in Walton's defence that it was bouncing making it more difficult to judge. One of them for me but i think those criticising the keeper are extremely harsh in this instance. -

Sorry for late reply. Just felt Bennett was the best option given it was relatively early in the game - meant we still had options for all positions/situations. -

Not popular opinion but Bennett was the best option available on the bench IMO. -

Tbh I think the bench is ok - all positions covered and a few older heads to calm it down if we are leading. The only problem really is that Brereton is not the young, promising striker that i would want to throw on if we need a goal... Feels, sadly, like a waste of a seat ? -
January transfer window 2020

Not dissappointed because i didn't expect any signings. Only positive for me is that we have lost 4 players to injury but still have a competitive team (if inconsistent but nothing new there) Negatives/worries är further injuries/suspensions and that brereton didn't go out on loan. Wasn't expecting promotion this season tbh hence low expectations for this window. Would like to see us sign a GK and CH before preseason as that is what scares me most before next season -

TM's about "seeing how close we can get" is either poorly worded or very telling... -

Graham should be playing if it is about the "here and now". If the actual remit is stay in Championship and sell players now and again then Gallagher & Armstrong are the logical choices to get as much game time as possible. -
Genuine question: could Bell follow Nyambes development curve? Reminds me a lot of Nyambe 1-2 seasons ago and, imo, is not as bad as many make out.
-
Problem right now is if he comes on and doesn't score...

How and where is Rothwell playing?

Can we bin the grey/green kit now. See what happens when we have something normal on...? ?

Was thinking this when reading about ticket "policy" for today's game... -

Is this TM or someone else in the "building"?( Genuine question - many business people "know best" even if they haven't a clue outside of their own industries/fields.) Tony loses cred either way but it would be interesting to know the actual situation. -
Suspect the question is in part to me. Yes i think TM will do exactly that - keep us in this division. Somewhere between places 12-20 to be more specific

Quite - opinions can differ ?

(Sorry to chop bits but thought it easier to see my position: I agree that we should be able to trust Waggot/board to appoint a good/best candidate but i don't. Precious behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour. I hope i am wrong. Disagree that management choices were improving - Bowyer wasn't exactly recruited whilst Lambert walked away after a few months. Berg and Appleton ? I am dissappointed in TM regarding motivation against poor teams, recurring mistakes in defence and our inability to grind out results on off days. I believe his recruitment is could be better but is compromised by internal politics. That said i question his handling of the Bauer and Raya situations. Sorry missed a point: i think TM is capable of recruiting players capable of reaching playoffs. He is far from alone in that.

Ok put it like this: Do you have faith that our owners would choose the best candidate for the job out of those that applied?
-
Just call me "The Acrobat" ???
-
Fair points. My position is somewhat conflicted: do i have more faith in TM than in the people running/owning/advising the club? Unfortunately the answer is still yes. Are there managers out there that could do better - yes. Do i think our owners would appoint one of them and let them do what is neccesary? No
-
Good - first name on teamsheet and would prefer not to knacker his knees...
-
This actually made me laugh. Sorry to those that that take it more seriously than myself but it really helped me break out of a piss poor mood... Now ffs: win the game !
-
My personal belief is that he was told, possibly after other knockbacks, that the owners would sanction BB putting TM in the position of "i might as well go along with it". A bit of my judgement is based on personal experience with distant and less knowledgeable owners (in other fields) where something sensible would be repeatedly turned down and then money would be splurged on overpriced and unneeded projects.

And if it wasn't his choice?
