  1. Pearson!? Again I will point you to the list. What makes you think Venkys, or whichever agent they turn to for advice on the appointment, would go for someone of the calibre of Pearson? Johnson would be far more likely and that's a massive gamble. I'm as fed up as anyone with Mowbray, we're not getting promoted with him as manager, but that doesn't mean I can ignore the utter calamity of the last 10 yrs under Venkys.
  2. Can you please explain to me who on the below list gives you faith that Venkys will appoint a better manager than Mowbray?
  3. This is often over looked. What's the chances they'd stumble over someone of the Reading manager's calibre? I'll tell you; absolutely fuck all chance. We'd end up with a complete clown and be pining for Mowbray within a month. Football; dead since 2010.
  4. Tony says we're still on a journey. What fucking journey is this? We literally couldn't be more mid table if we tried and it feels like that's all we're ever going to be under him. But he won't walk and he certainly won't be pushed. So many glaring errors, players out of position, defensive frailties it's fucking nauseating. We put weak teams to the sword and get out played and/or out thought by the top teams. We'll finish 8th-12th and never really threaten the top 6. Completely and utterly fed up.
  5. Fucking shambles. No manager could come in and sort out this defence the players are just fucking abysmal. Football; dead since 2010.
  6. Gallagher on the wing bless him. It's not even his fault, he's got no options so tries to dribble it past his man and just runs straight into him.
  7. He looked decent for me. Couple of cracking touches, a million miles away from the player he was
  8. Game plan. Absolute key to what's hapenned here. You've got a manager on top of his game, getting the most out of his squad and preparing them for each game on its merits meaning they're greater than the sum of their parts and top of the league. Then you've got our Tony.
  9. I look forward to people pointing out its Reading and they're top of the league etc Revamped squad or not we cannot defend and simply won't get out of this league with Mowbray at the helm.
  10. How to convince the wife to let me watch Rovers vs Reading on our wedding anniversary... I mean it's hard enough on a normal day let alone on our anniversary when we're playing Reading; she has no idea they've become interesting this year for the first time in history. I predict several hours of begging and bartering followed by a cagey as fuck 0-0 bore-fest, inevitable.
  11. They'll come to stop us playing and try and nick it with a single goal. A good chance to see if Tony and the team have learnt anything from Cardiff & Forest games. Fingers crossed we have enough to beat them but I'm thinking 0-0.
  12. Makes sense. Bet he was fucking terrifying to face Holding, such a languid approach and before you know it its down your throat
  13. "The batsman's Holding the bowler's Willey" Might be the other way around actually
  14. We're 'physically' 10th in the league. How long have we occupied the play off spots under Mowbray? I'd say we'd need to be in there for more than the 4 or 5 games that we have been, in the 150 odd games he's managed us for, whilst not losing to teams like Forest - who have drawn with Derby and Rotherham since beating us by the way - for us to be truly in the mix.
  15. For me the Cardiff & Forest games are more concerning than the Watford one - Watford will be right up there this season, if we finish above them I suspect we'll go up automatically. Yet against teams who came and sat deep with 10 men behind the ball we had no answers, and the more we go and score 4 & 5 at teams who have a go at us the more we'll face teams coming to shut up shop and we've never been able to crack this approach under Mowbray. Lots to be excited about but we're a way from expecting to finish in the top 6 for me.
  16. Cracking boys, great result, start of a run hopefully
  17. He's gone back to the player I remember him being when he first arrived, fingers crossed it doesn't last long
