  1. He sounds desperate to me; “Is it a concern? I judge the team on their performance levels,” That's not answering your own question, Tony. “No-one likes losing football matches. If we were getting rolled over easily every game then that would be a concern but I don’t think that’s the case." The old 'we're only losing by the smallest margins' statement only made by managers under pressure. "We need to reverse that and be saying we’ve won six out of eight and then suddenly you’re on the cusp of the play-offs. That’s this league." This is an utterly ridiculous statement say given our form. “How important is one player missing for six weeks? Pretty important I’d say when he’s your main defender. We’re trying to get by. Nyambe is a young boy who is doing his very best." Absolute classic Mowbray this; blaming junior players with little or no foundation. He's also now backed himself into a corner for when Lenihan returns and we continue losing. I genuinely think he is feeling it. There aren't the words of a man who is comfortable in his job. I suspect he knows Venky's are watching and expecting better given the investments they've made in transfers, let alone what it's costing them to keep the lights on. If there's no improvement I'm guessing he will be gone by the end of the year, the real worry is what clown they will bring in to replace him.
  2. Yes gambling on how crap we are has been relatively profitable. I had £100 sitting on Preston at 8/1 when they scored their first and bottled it and went for £10 instead. I agree 7/1 seems a bit generous but I also don't think the Wednesday result is anything to get carried away with and fully expect to lose today.
  3. Just checked the odds, I can't remember the last time we were 7/1. More than double the odds of any other team in the division today. Looks like a home banker. Anyone who has forgotten how shit we are with Tony at the helm should slam £££ on a Rovers win.
  4. Funny how one result can breed positivity.. I'm going for a 3-2 thriller, Mowbray focusing on the bonds in the team.
  5. Bookies have us a favourites for this one, odd. They aren't often wrong. Also both teams to score in both halves at 12/1 looking very tempting for me. Having popped £20 on Preston when 1-2 @ 8/1 the single pleasure i now get from Rovers is making money by knowing how shit we are.
  6. Whilst I agree with this I'd also add that the quality of that English rugby team is light years away from the quality in the current Blackburn Rovers squad. They know they've got world class players all over the pitch and a world class coach in the dressing room so it's much easier to believe in yourself. Conversely I imagine Bradley Dack sees the opposition score, looks at Bennett in one of the full back positions and Mowbray shitting himself in the dugout and immediately wonders how long is left and if we can hold out. I'm not saying it's acceptable but it's understandable to a point.
  7. Option 2 with a manager who can develop academy graduates by playing them when they deserve to and in the correct position whilst also operating successfully in the transfer market under a budget and not spend £15m on strikers who don't score goals whilst/because they're playing on the wing.
  8. I'll give you its tougher to get over these days. Rovers being utter cack doesn't help either.
  9. I'm well past gallows humour thanks champ, it's beyond painful now.
  10. Agreed we're nowhere near Kean levels and I don't think we'll ever be with Mowbray. A big issue for me is that this team is taking on his characteristics; nervous of the opposition, twitchy when they equalise or we go behind, lacking in tactical nous especially when trying to see a game out etc etc. And that won't change unless Mowbray changes his attitude, which simply isn't going to happen after however many years in the game. So most people now seem to agree that he needs to go but where do we go from here? None of the people advising the clowns either have a clue and/or have a vested interest in keeping the status quo and Venkys themselves have done nothing positive in the time they've owned us. Its all so thoroughly depressing and now very much part of being a Rovers fan.
  11. Laughable. Get some perspective on where we've fallen under these clowns, it'll help.
  12. "These are professional footballers, they know what’s coming." Hopefully you being fired Mowbray as they've stopped playing for you.
  13. This is the key though isn't it; we do know better. We know that the Clowns in Pune couldn't care less. Yet when they do make a change - because Mowbray gets tired of the abuse, or decides he can't make all the lads any better humans, or more likely is too old to walk - it'll be for some other shitmuncher. They're absolutely the worst, it's gone beyond hate for me now.
  14. And he's done exactly the same thing before at Coventry. Blows my mind that he can't learn from his mistakes. We all make them so the only thing you can do is learn from them and he hasn't. Absolutely astounds me. I'm running out of adjectives.
  15. "I’m sure on Saturday, we might get beat and they might be better than us, but we’ll be there competing. “No team wins every football match, along the way you have to take the defeats on the chin, take the draws when you feel you should have won, and move on to the next game.” And there it is, Mowbray's issues all summed up in one quote.
  16. Mowbray has lost the players and also now the majority of fans reading the comments in the LT and Instagram etc. You'd hope that with the money he has spent and the absolute lack of progress in the time he has been here that there's some pressure coming down from above. Perhaps an absolute spanking at Preston would be the catalyst for the Clowns to look elsewhere. One can only hope. I'm as low about Rovers as I've ever been.
  17. Venkys you should be fucking ashamed what you've done to this club. It's not Mowbray fault he's a bang average manager, it's the level we operate now and that is on the scum that own us.
