  1. Getting impatient for this now. We can't be in the play offs with how other results have gone but we can be on equal points with 6th. With games against Birmingham and Huddersfield to follow that's about as good as we could've hoped for at this time of the season. Can't actually believe we're in this position given where we were 8 weeks ago. I wonder when the wheels will fall off? ? Or do we think Mowbray has actually learnt from his past mistakes..
  2. He's loyal to a fault. I just hope this year it doesn't bite him/us on the arse as we're a couple of buys off making a real go at the play offs.
  3. I believe this is the ultimate test of how far we've come. Since Mowbray took over this has absolutely been a game we will labour in and ultimately draw or lose. It's a nailed on home banker on paper but then again so was Leeds beating Wigan at home in April. I'm predicting a twitchy 1-1 with the knives being sharpened for Mowbray by most on here.
  4. Three points off 3rd place just under halfway through the season - would've never predicted that and absolutely snapped your hand off for it 6 weeks ago. I think yesterday was massive. It was something we could never have achieved last season. I believe we had a similar winning streak actually but there's no way we could've gone to Bristol and got 3 points. TM has gone back to basics and deserves all the plaudits for the turnaround. I could never see that coming 7 games ago and I'm so very happy to be proved wrong. I'm not even 100% sure on how he has done it outside of putting round pegs in round holes. I mean even Amari Bell looked like a proper player yesterday according to most - how the fuck has that happened!? Anway fingers crossed we can sustain it and we've got to take advantage of two relatively easy home games coming up. That's really something we've failed to do this season (Charlton and Luton spring to mind) and if we can get 4-6 points from the next two and actually be in the play offs at the halfway stage I genuinely will start to get excited.
  5. Fuck me well done Tony and the boys, very happy to be proved so very wrong.
  6. Tony says all sorts of things doesn't he. For example he has also stated that he "talks to them on a human level". I'd like to understand what other level you could talk to humans on?
  7. We'll lose this one. Tony is terrified of the opposition which will transmit onto the players. Plus no Dack. I reckon a 4-1 drubbing followed by a stretch of games with no win against bang average teams.
  8. Happy to take a point before the game and definitely happy considering we were second best. Bit concerning that we weren't great but having won the last four I can excuse a blip. If we get anything out of the Bristol City game I could possibly allow myself to start dreaming of the play offs but deep down I know there will be a 5-10 game wobble that'll cost us.
  9. That goal was this seasons Brentford moment by the looks of it
  10. I think we'll beat Derby and people will then really start to get carried away.... however I suspect that may be the closest we get to the play offs. Nice to be looking up though.
  11. Genuinely couldn't make this shit up ?
  12. Fuck me couldn't make this shit up
  13. It's down to Tony really, we should be going there for the win but the concern is he'll be worried about something he shouldn't be worried about and this will transmit onto the team and ergo our performance. I'm going for a decent away win 1-2 and an internal battle with the myself not to look how many points we are off the play offs.
  14. No doubt it will be a tough game but that wasn't my point. They've lost four of the last six we should be going there for the win.
  15. Won 2 & lost 4 of their last 6. 6 points out of 18 on offer. Tony is that you???
  16. This reads like you believe he will stick with the round pegs in round holes approach? I'd wait to see the line up for the next game to be honest..
  17. Fair play to Mowbray last night, sounds like he got the selection and formation spot on, he absolutely deserves credit for that. Anyone that's looking at the gap between where we are now and the play offs needs their head wobbling though. When was the last time you thought TM got everything right? Personally I can't remember. Frankly I'd take him getting it right 50% of the time as I think we'd be a lot better off than we are now but that's another story. We've put runs together before under him, this could be our latest one and who knows we may even flirt with a play off place off the back of it, but I can absolutely guarantee we won't finish in the top 6 with TM as manager. He's been around too long doing the same old things and making the same old mistakes to change now. Cracking result though, well done the lads.
