I think he is on the edge from reading that latest interview. So my money would be on DJ for the rest of the season which actually I'm not overly concerned with. I'm positive there is so much more ability in this squad than is currently being shown and the reason for the poor showing this season is squarely on TM's shoulders, so i'd back DJ to keep us up as a minimum whilst we search for a new manager. If he does well and get us firmly top half then give him the job full time. If not the clowns will have had 6 months to try and find a someone who could give us a serious run at the play-offs.. Naive perhaps but it shows how disillusioned I've become with Mowbray.

I think we'll get absolutely pumped and this will be the beginning of the end for Mowbray. Gone by Christmas to be replaced with who the fuck knows what.

Probably the hope more than anything. A lot of that hope stems from Tony spending £15m on two players that have been abject failures when we're in this level of debt. And we're just supposed to be happy we're building for the future? How many points are we behind where we were this time last year as well for fuck sake? Yep totally agree. Moving away from the Graham, Dack, Mulgrew axis has fucked him. And he's not good enough in the transfer market or a talented enough manager to transition away from what was working for him and yet he's still tried to. I actually respect him for that. I believe he'll leave at some point soon I just hope we're still in this division and Venkys stumble across someone better. LOL

Graham and Mulgrew were a big part of the reason Tony did OK in his first couple of years here. They contributed 25 goals between them last year for example. One of them now doesn't start and the other has left the club. Tony's answer has been Brereton, Gallagher and Armstrong. I can't even be arsed to look how many goals they've scored between them but it's next to fuck all. So our lack of goals this year was absolutely inevitable. Combine that with no investment in an already shakey defence and the writing has been on the wall for Mowbray since the beginning of the season. He won't leave though, and part of me can't blame him for that. And actually looking at the bigger picture he's probably the level we are operating at now. Absolutely criminal what Venkys have done to us.

This is an utterly ridiculous statement say given our form. “How important is one player missing for six weeks? Pretty important I’d say when he’s your main defender. We’re trying to get by. Nyambe is a young boy who is doing his very best." Absolute classic Mowbray this; blaming junior players with little or no foundation. He's also now backed himself into a corner for when Lenihan returns and we continue losing. I genuinely think he is feeling it. There aren't the words of a man who is comfortable in his job. I suspect he knows Venky's are watching and expecting better given the investments they've made in transfers, let alone what it's costing them to keep the lights on. If there's no improvement I'm guessing he will be gone by the end of the year, the real worry is what clown they will bring in to replace him.

Yes gambling on how crap we are has been relatively profitable. I had £100 sitting on Preston at 8/1 when they scored their first and bottled it and went for £10 instead. I agree 7/1 seems a bit generous but I also don't think the Wednesday result is anything to get carried away with and fully expect to lose today.

Just checked the odds, I can't remember the last time we were 7/1. More than double the odds of any other team in the division today. Looks like a home banker. Anyone who has forgotten how shit we are with Tony at the helm should slam £££ on a Rovers win.

Bookies have us a favourites for this one, odd. They aren't often wrong. Also both teams to score in both halves at 12/1 looking very tempting for me. Having popped £20 on Preston when 1-2 @ 8/1 the single pleasure i now get from Rovers is making money by knowing how shit we are.

Whilst I agree with this I'd also add that the quality of that English rugby team is light years away from the quality in the current Blackburn Rovers squad. They know they've got world class players all over the pitch and a world class coach in the dressing room so it's much easier to believe in yourself. Conversely I imagine Bradley Dack sees the opposition score, looks at Bennett in one of the full back positions and Mowbray shitting himself in the dugout and immediately wonders how long is left and if we can hold out. I'm not saying it's acceptable but it's understandable to a point.

Option 2 with a manager who can develop academy graduates by playing them when they deserve to and in the correct position whilst also operating successfully in the transfer market under a budget and not spend £15m on strikers who don't score goals whilst/because they're playing on the wing.

I'll give you its tougher to get over these days. Rovers being utter cack doesn't help either.
