I'd say £15k+ is a realistic guess of his wages and it's the most obvious reason as to why we haven't signed him yet - combined with Newcastle's asking price. Very frustrating as he was a big part of the reason we kicked on after Xmas last year and I think he has enough to be a decent Championship player for us.

Another thing worth keeping in mind is most people wouldn't have had Millwall or Sheff Utd getting as close the play offs as they did with their squads at the start of last year.
