  1. This. Betting on clubs to get desperate and putting the message out on the media that were not going to pay what they're currently asking. Though some of his press conferences have been a little muddled so part of me wonders if he bothers to think along those lines.
  2. The "in some ways" meant he was a great impact player to have from the bench.
  3. Full matches? None. But I suspect you know this hence your question so I will refer you to the "in some ways" part of my post.
  4. Interesting to hear that neither of them are top of the list, encouraging in some ways as they were two of our best players last year. I wouldn't expect him to admit it if they were however - might be a tactic to get them to lower their asking price for Arma.
  5. If true we surely, SURELY have to be about to bring in another striker....... I mean we wouldn't let a young lad go out on loan and not have someone already lined up to repla..... ah.
  6. Don't disagree. Given the chance you'd hope he'd want to come here over not playing at Newcastle. I'd say £15k+ is a realistic guess of his wages and it's the most obvious reason as to why we haven't signed him yet - combined with Newcastle's asking price. Very frustrating as he was a big part of the reason we kicked on after Xmas last year and I think he has enough to be a decent Championship player for us.
  7. You'd hope the lad would understand that his best football has always come under Mowbray, he's been here and been successful and would be playing in a group of lads that he appears to get on with really well. Unfortunately money talks though so we may have to hope that no one else comes in for him and we are his only option on deadline day.
  8. I'm becoming increasingly convinced that Armstrong will be our buy that 'eclipses' the Dack fee - around the £1.25m mark. Charlton aren't budging on Bauer and I suspect Big T will have thought he could get him for £500k give or take and in truth we have cover in that area. Hopefully we then get Chapman on loan as I can't see us buying him because of his injury record combined with our tiny budget. This is based on nothing more than a feeling after my morning coffee gave me a chance to have a proper think about the situation on the shitter.
  9. This is the world we find ourselves in now unfortunately. 8 years of chronic mismanagement and corruption from the owners and the vultures that made the most of the situation.
  10. Impressive. I feel like I should have known this, I don't suppose he was firing them in when K&an was manager here was he? That f8cking rat made me ignore football for years.
  11. Sounds promising. Given the way our signings so far have been kept under wraps until they actually signed I wouldn't have thought we will know if Maddison is coming until he's in the door. #positivepirate
  12. You're a fanny hair off becoming a parody of yourself. Some questions; 1. You admit that Mowbray deployed a successful formation at some point, when was this exactly? 2. What mistakes did Mowbray make in his decisions on formation in our 3-0 victory against one of few teams that haven't been out of the top flight in Lord knows how many years and have just spent £50m on one player?
  13. The folks whose glass is half empty will argue this to the hilt but I totally agree. Another thing worth keeping in mind is most people wouldn't have had Millwall or Sheff Utd getting as close the play offs as they did with their squads at the start of last year. It's an unpredictable league is the Championship Being honest I don't think we have enough to be thinking about the play offs as its been a relatively poor transfer window so far, but I'm willing to back Mowbray regardless of our summer dealings until 10 games in at a minimum. I believe he's earned that.
  14. I must have missed that one. I can buy into the FPP angle and Waggott getting involved and suggesting a smaller budget, I just can't see how Mowbray wouldn't take the full budget and then try and not spend it all. Hell who f8cking knows what goes on with the chicken weasels running the show tbf.
  15. You're saying that Mowbray refused a larger budget so that he could reduce the pressure on himself and yet didn't have the nous to suggest they give him the larger budget and anything left over he can either spend in January or give back and reduce the pressure as per the initial option? The guy has been a football manager for 16+ years mate behave.
  16. This. How can people be that f8cking desperate that you'd listen to that fraud. He's an absolute clown. Negative spiral for some until we sign someone.
  17. Richarlison going for £50m, this is the moment football ceases to exist.
  18. Perhaps no serious outlay could be sanctioned until Dack signed....
  19. Which makes it all the more f8king infuriating that the chicken fingerers were so inept/corrupt that we are seeing none of these riches
  20. Solely based on on the assumption that Raya et al will be better than Steele etc??? You're hilarious. Coyle sent us to League One.
