  1. Nonsense, he's going to get lynched if it doesn't happen
  2. Well that'd be a turn up! Balaji getting twitchy, can smell the play offs. Would certainly put us in a strong position to give it a good go. Gonna put my negative hat on and say it won't happen though, you've certainly brought this thread to life though buddy.
  3. Not for me, more or less the whole reason for the turn in results since the new year. Big shout out to Armstrong as well who seems to have come of age. Looking positive for a decent run at the play offs albeit I think we'll fall a little short, not least as I think we're fighting four or five other teams for one, possibly two spots in the play offs.
  4. A boring footballer for a boring manager, perfect fit. I'm with others on here that Boro are the one's we are going to pip to the play-offs if we get there. For the record I don't think we will make it.
  5. Fair comment, though I thought Millwall away was a solid victory. Anyway I'm blaming the dullest transfer window in history for me writing bollocks.
  6. To continue my fickle wave of positivity after the last three results I thought I'd work out where we "should" be in the league; Gained Points Derby away +2 Stoke away +2 QPR home +2 Bolton away +2 Lost Points Birmingham @ home -2 Ipswich away - 2 Leeds away - 2 Reading home - 2 Forest home - 2 Villa home - 2 I've therefore got us 4 points worse off than we "should" be which feels about right overall. You could possibly argue Rotherham home and Borough away we didn't get what we deserved either but I didn't want to be silly about it. Obviously. How lovely.
  7. Top statting. Lambert is dour and his teams tend to follow suit bar a lucky run at Norwich. Fully expect to pump this lot tomorrow.
  8. Hard to watch today but I'm putting that on Millwall not us, very much improved in the second half, chuffed for Armstrong and TM and the heroes that were at the game.
  9. Hard to watch that. Millwall lumping it up to the front two and relying in set pieces, us passing it sideways as per, thought Conway and Bell were our worst two as well. We've got the bench to go and win this game, come on Big T.
  10. He is singularly the worst thing about the transfer windows for me; pals with all the wrong people and just continuously throws shit at the wall hoping for something to stick whilst getting paid for it, first class wand.
  11. On the other side of the coin could you not appreciate the fact that Mowbray is arguably the best manager we've had in the chaos that is Rao era?
  12. Can I recommend you watch Frankie Boyle's skit on "the good old days"? He's got you nailed.
  13. Fair enough. I'd tend to agree with you, he can disappear in games but I suspect thats more to do with everyone being aware of his talents now and opposition managers planning accordingly. His stats speak for themselves. I just find accepting he is going makes it less painful when he does.
  14. Nothing to suggest? I'd say the last month or so suggests we could do with a whole new defence, frankly. Don't want to lose him at all as the guy is the latest Rovers legend for me but let's be honest he is going at some point because we ain't getting back to the PL with the lunatics running the place.
  15. Probably been mentioned but bit concerned that our Bradders popped himself nicely into shop window for this month by scoring yesterday, even more than he was. Luckily I don't think West Ham are in enough trouble to go and spend £20m on him. Or do we think we need the cash to rebuild the squad?
  16. This could be brutal. I'm going 2-5 followed by a meltdown of epic proportions on here before we realise our level and beat the teams around us in the following 6 games.
  17. I'm not sure it'll ever turn that toxic. TM is streets ahead of that rat in terms of managerial ability and I'd like to think he would fall on his sword eventually if it ever got really bad as he comes across as a decent man. The worry for me is we are stuck in mid table mediocrity for years to come.
  18. Exactly. I'm not sure how I let myself forget this tbh!
  19. After the dust has settled on another chastening defeat at the weekend everything became clear to me on the drive to work this morning; We aren't going to get back to the Premier League whilst Venkys own the club. Perhaps this was obvious to most however the start to this season combined with the promotion last year had given me some false hope, however in truth we don't have a manager that is capable of taking us to the promised land whilst Venkys continue to exist. I've got a lot of time for TM, he has brought some much needed positivity back to the club after the lowest point of Venkys tenure in chimp head. However he simply isn't capable to get us promoted. His player recruitment, setup of teams, insistence on playing people out of position, questionable formations and the recent trend of the team conceding late goals isn't conducive to us getting promoted. It's a shame as I would love him to get us up but it simply won't happen. And here is the most disturbing part - Venkys won't get rid of him regardless of results or where we finish. He has got himself in a position where he is essentially running the place and, more importantly, Venkys simply don't care enough to make a change and even if they did who the fuck do they listen to? They've been burnt so many times by bad advice and/or corruption that they wouldn't know who to turn to.
  20. For play to Mowbray for changing it up, sounds like it's working fairly well so far. Would still be surprised if we got anything from this but a welcome improvement from the last few outings.
