  1. Yeah cos male pundits never ever make mistakes.
  2. He’d bite your hand off for a player of his own quality!
  3. First team debut outside the PL and first full England cap within 2 years. When was the last time that happened?
  4. No, not an official club thing, it’s on the regular NHS/Red Cross rounds. Onto my fourth time now after discovering by blood is both A-neg and CMV-neg, meaning it’s virtually the only kind of blood premature babies experiencing any difficulties can have. As I was born at 28 weeks with a lot of difficulties myself, I feel it’s my duty to give blood every 3 months and for life.
  5. Not quite sure where else to put this, but I know Steve Williams is superb on his club history, and I know @Miller11 and @Mike Graham have done stadium stuff before: To the left of the Exec Lounge in the BBE there are a series of framed old-school jerseys that are VERY cool, but I can’t figure out why they’re there. They are all 50s/60s era: A purple Real Madrid jersey. An Ajax jersey. A Juventus jersey. A Brazil jersey (seemingly attributed to Pele). Anyone know the connection or why the club have them? Please enjoy my extremely subtle photography skills…
  6. Thrilled to bits he’s on the plane! Feels serendipitous that I’m at Ewood while I get the news 😄
  7. Currently giving blood in the Exec Lounge in the BBE. Pitch looks smart but fucking hell the steel (rooves and sides) needs cleaning. It’s bloody green!
  8. I do agree on Toney, but the question is whether he’ll come on in the second half of our 2-2 draw with Iceland.
  9. Love the show but completely forgot this series was on! Got some catching up to do!
  10. I didn’t remember it was as many as that, thought it was about 10. You’re probably right but the playoff point still stands.
  11. Like we had until January?
  12. Different type of player imo. Although and O’Brien-Wharton midfield 🤌🤌🤌
  13. Where I disagree is the last few season represented superb chances to get promoted. I genuinely believed that with a player like O’Brien, we’d have fought for 2nd place again. The season before that we WERE second for a big chunk of time. If Venkys/Waggott had brains, we’d be in the PL and Wharton would be doing his stuff for us.
  14. Bellingham not playing tonight, so soon after the CL final. Would love to see Wharton supplying Foden, Grealish, and Kane 😄
  15. This guy gets it. Superb little doc: https://youtu.be/KDZij6eYZbc?si=2xn-ikiKiuTQwOYb
  16. If you truly are ‘understanding not everyone with have the similar opinion to mine and think they are over price. That's fine I understand their point’ then why are you henpecking my ‘own situation and prospective(sic)’? Just FYI, I can still see hidden posts, and your earlier one further leads me to believe you were trying your ‘superfan’ nonsense on me. Don’t bother, it won’t convince me that I can justify £349, when I could only stretch to £249 when I DIDN’T have a wife and children and a mortgage set to increase by 60%. £100 increase might be nothing to you (fair play), but it’s two full tanks of fuel to me.
  17. Cult hero, yes. Not a legend. Imo, anyway. To me a legend has Sammie’s impact over a longer period. Legends are universally beloved, like Crompton, Shearer, Dougie, Clayton, Tugay, Hendry, etc. Sammie is more in the Pedersen, Rhodes, Dack arena of cult hero/fan favourite imo.
  18. I always thought Gally scored more than that! I remember (I was about 13 when he broke onto the scene) thinking he and Derbyshire were the next big things 😅
  19. Yeah you’re right (with inflation, they’d be around £330) but my salary hasn’t much adjusted for inflation in that time. Plus I’ve a house (with mortgage set to go up by around 60%), a wife, and children to pay for now even before I begin to consider a ST. It also puts into perspective how awful prices were last season.
  20. I think it was the 2015/16 season, £249 BBE Lower, N03. I think my dad’s was £179 or similar, and I recall kids prices were £60 (albeit I was single and childless then). So applying those prices to now, £249 on my own; worth it. £369 for me and my two boys; worth it. Whichever way your family make-up, the STs represented value for every ticketholder. Those types of values are what I would still expect, particularly given the cost of living issues ever since, and particularly in the local area. But we’re paying £100 more minimum now for… what, exactly?
  21. Nope, you definitely missed my point. I’ve never said the reason I won’t buy is because I can’t afford it. It’s because the package doesn’t make it easy for EVERYONE to support Rovers. That is to say that whatever your circumstances, it should be easy to support Rovers. For example: The current package for me to take my boys would be £349 + £23 + £23 = £395. Fantastic value. But £349 for me alone? Awful value (compared to what I’ve paid before) and will only increase if I delay my decision. Prices should be fixed, and affordable for EVERY circumstance.
  22. You clearly missed the point of my post. As you always do. I often think it’s deliberate at this point.
  23. ‘Totally Wicked’ makes it sound like Shaggy off Scooby Doo. Although the other Shaggy (It wasn’t me) might be more in keeping with Swag’s attempt to justify his salary
