  1. I’m led to believe he preferred cricket like their dad.
  2. You can imo. You set the price early and get the money in. The delay in release is partly what drives prices up, as you make the club more desperate for money and you lessen the window for people to take up the offer. Plenty of clubs had their prices out in April, and there’s no reason we couldn’t. Or if it was that much of an issue, you have two prices ready and release them Monday morning after the last game, rather than waiting 10 days.
  3. I’ve been arguing with Waggott since Jan 2020 about getting prices out in April at latest. I wasn’t specifically whinging for me, but for others. I’ve already made the decision not to buy because of the tokenism nature of the price reduction, after YEARS of arguing for cheaper pricing in line with the demographics of the area. If detail of the ‘16 game package’ mentioned come out soon then I might consider that, mind.
  4. Just worked out I get one payday to consider it. So my choice to not get a ST has become ‘cannot if I wanted to’. Cheers Swagg.
  5. @J*B makes all us mods refer to @K-Hod as King Kenny.
  6. Steve Kean was ‘Academy Director’ at Hibs…
  7. Never occurs to them that they’ll get more cash if they kept it at that price. ’To celebrate 30 years since the PL win, £300 all over the ground.’ ’The season will mark our 150th birthday. If you get in before x date, we’ll ballot 150 lucky STs to pay half price, refunding £150.’ ’All 12-18yos and over 65s cost £150 (early bird ballot may receive £30 refund).’ ’All u12s cost £30.’ Easy innit?
  8. You understand that those club staff already work those hours? The fan in this scenario will already have spent money on fuel to get to the club shop (and in an extreme scenario as I often do when getting tickets) try to book off work early or use flexible working to get to the club shop. Some of us still prefer physical interaction as the social beings we are.
  9. As highlighted above, it grinds my gears that over 4 years since the original Marketing Prospectus (and repeated fan engagement since then) the BEST the club can offer is a temporary and tokenist reduction on the highest ST prices since Venkys took over. ‘A step in the right direction’ after all that time isn’t good enough. It’s like me expecting praise for putting the bins out on bin day. But the wrong bin. On the wrong day. ‘I’ve tried everything I can.’
  10. That Fielder pillock did, told RT just as much.
  11. If anyone between Clayton le Moors and Brockhall wants a lift, I’m happy to oblige. Up to 6 spaces (benefits of a family car)!
  12. I thought ‘fair enough’ at the early bird price, but the gouging in the following two phases really puts me off. As ever, a decent idea half-done.
  13. The more I think about it, the more I think Adam WILL be the second coming of TUGAY. Not only in his languid style of play and passing ability, but how he seems to get even better when placed alongside better players (who are on his wavelength). He’s even lost the ‘Tugay’s invisible friend’ syndrome that occasionally blighted some passes here. Tugay from Rangers to Rovers = Wharton from Rovers to Palace. Plus he’s developed that defensive bite that JDT wanted him to work on. Just needs to add long range goals to his repertoire.
  14. Delighted for Adam. Hopefully the start of a new England ‘Golden Generation’ (at least in midfield/forward). Venkys and Waggott can go f*** themselves. C***s.
  15. Been a thinking about this, and wonder if we may go 5-3-2? Eg: ———————-Pears ———-Hyam—Carter—Wharton Brittain————Tronstad—————Gent —————-Travis——-Buckley -——————Sigurdsson ———————Gallagher Need some additions but it seems to fit our current squad reasonably well in terms of who is available and where. Add a mobile striker, new keeper, and it’s a start.
  16. Aye, probably a bit of beer talking there. I can’t put my finger on it but I feel like theres a touch of freedom or expression that’s gone. Either that or I’m just merging Grealish and Foden into one in my own head.
  17. I just KNEW you were going to disagree with me. Foden is a generational talent being held back by Pep imo. Fergie or Wenger would’ve had him at prime Kaka 2007-09 by now. Rodri was one of the world’s ’next big things when City bought him. Akanji was a key piece of Dortmund’s playing style for 4 years before City bought him. Look at Haaland. Gone backwards. Grealish has lost the magic in his boots that he had at Villa. It’s easy to buy players for specific roles who are already superb at that role. That’s all Pep does. I’ll give you Aké though. And I’ll credit him with keeping Kyle Walker at the peak of his powers at an age when full backs can lose their way if they rely on pace.
  18. There’s no magic to teams like City. Rovers. Ranieri’s Leicester. Fergie’s Utd. Wenger’s Arsenal. Mourinho at Chelsea. Klopp’s Liverpool. Even Mancini’s City. All had real personalities about their teams, playing beautiful football in different ways. And all were beatable, so no matter how good they were they had to earn their wins. Pep’s City are more like Football Manager FC, bought all the best players in each position and then press ‘simulate season’. Boring.
  19. I’ll keep my eye on which games are ‘Fans Takeover’ and take my lad to his first games, but that’s about it unless I get a mate’s freebie. My dad’s loyalty (and he forgave the Fiasco Cup Final quicker than most) has gone. He’s 80 now, and I’d like to get him back to Ewood before the time comes.
  20. Hellfire Chaddy, you don’t help yourself. You’re confident we definitely spent £7m on those three players despite being ‘undisclosed’ and ‘we don’t know every detail’, and the only decent source of info with any numbers claiming we spent under £5m. ’Excellent’ indeed. 🙄
  21. Sometimes, people can be disgusted by something they love. Doesn’t mean they don’t love it, or wish better for it.
  22. No, there isn’t. They just disagree with you.
  23. If a woman you fancied flirted with you for the best part of two months (first made contact with McGuire early December) invited you to her house, fed you a great meal, and described all the fantastic things she was about to do with you in bedroom, and then just as you’d got your kit off, she threw you out the door because ‘actually, my parents don’t want people like you here, so you’ll have to leave’… Would you want to pursue a relationship with that woman 6 months later, or would you tell her to fuck off?
  24. Emptiest ground in the Championship, at the highest base prices seen at our club in many years. Another proud achievement from our owners… AND 3 of the 10 highest away attendances were at Ewood Park. The contempt they have for home fans laid bare.
