  1. To be fair, had it been Rovers and the town of Blackburn, we'd all feel exactly the same, wouldn't we? If 97 of our fellows were killed by establishment cock-ups at a football game, and the establishment tried to hide it by accusing us of robbing our mates' dead bodies and pissing on them? I personally don't understand people who can't see it this way, because Liverpool fans don't have to imagine it. It actually happened to them.
  2. Ever met an obedient Scot? 🤣
  3. As someone mainly Scottish (albeit born and bred in Darren), I have no love for the anthem in its current guise. It has verses celebrating the slaughter of my ancestors. Booing our own anthem is fairly tame, although I do wonder if it would be prosecuted if done after this new Police, Crime, Sentencing, and Courts Bill.
  4. I'm sure I read at the time there was no sell-on fee, which was why the deal was structured the way it was, and for so much money.
  5. I think everything a manager does except coaching and matchday stuff.
  6. Depends how far you consider Dundee's 'outskirts' to stretch 🤣
  7. Pearce as a DOF is not a BAD idea, just left field. Pearce as a manager is a fucking bad idea.
  8. Nearest I could get for the practice day (going with my dad) was a Holiday Inn in Dundee 18miles away 🤣
  9. That made me roar 😂
  10. I'm a bit surprised that chaddy's suggestion of Knutsen isn't getting much love. The more I look into him, the more I put him on the level of Farke, Dyche, Carvalhal
  11. I don't want him myself, but I do understand the logic to a degree. Assistant to Silva, Benitez and Ancelotti. None of them are mugs, so he must have something about him.
  12. I'm told by the man's best mate that Venus left the building yesterday.
  13. Can't say fairer than that. A little generous perhaps, but I'm glad someone at the club has finally put this to bed and given him a respectable, respectful goodbye. Not because he deserves it, but because it's the Blackburn Rovers way: Professional.
  14. Honestly, I know we could do better, but wouldn't be UNHAPPY with any of those.
  15. In fairness, would you want your brand name plastered all over the shitshow we are?
  16. They weren't trying to sell, just get them onboard. The Issas aren't remotely interested in Rovers, won't even sponsor a player, met alone the shirts or a stand or the ground. Won't touch us.
  17. If only, but Waggott ain't resigning unless the next managerial appointment is made above his head. He currently intends to be part of the appointment and stay at the club.
  18. Ah yes, when Jason Lowe had the ball passed to him, only to shield it out of play from the oncoming Nofuckerthere.
  19. This is like having my life played back at me. Our Lives, Series 5: Born Deaf, Raised Hearing: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0017174 via @bbciplayer
  20. I do feel that Mowbray's tactical nous is a great analogy for how Venkys run us as a club: Constantly getting the main decisions wrong, and we just have to hope they stumble on something that works.
  21. I'm glad that it's Liverpool Vs Real Madrid, I like the traditional feel of it. Two clubs steeped in European Cup history, it feels old school.
  22. I've gone back onto iPlayer to rewatch an old favourite from 2004-2012: Hustle. Not too complicated to watch or particularly dramatic, but a good bit of harmless drama involving cons who target bad people. Watching it backs there are hundreds of cameos from people who are now really well known!
