Valérien Ismaël: Former Head Coach
JBiz replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Finally an acknowledgment that you talked absolute bollocks with confidence. In all the years I’ve taken the time to read this website, that’s a first from you. oh and PS - he’s gone. Only a person intent on covering their own shocking takes would break that down to “did he walk or was he pushed”. Oh and btw, it’s Joe. The reason why this particular element got me was the constant confidence you spiel regarding the deliberate nature of our problems. If I’d spent weeks forcing a narrative that turned out to be utter bollox, the first thing I would’ve done is say “sorry lads I got that wrong”.! -

Exactly - it’s not even realistic shots in the dark. Twitter clickbait shite. Should never be shared here. Same with the supposed “rovers insider”… Both examples of universal credit lads with time burning a hole in their pocket. -

Came out of nowhere? He literally said in his interview Saturday that he’d understand if they moved him on. He’s been failing for months. Nicko also has a record of mistakes above facts. Whilst I agree there is nothing normal about Blackburn rovers, Ismael left because he’s shite. Just a shame it took till we’re effectively adrift for the morons above to notice. His record meant he literally had no ground to stand on. Hence why I think the idea that there has been a bust up is nonsense. -

Because no manager can be genuinely be serious in their argument of “I’m leaving because I’ve not been backed” when they have us winning an handful of games in 40. -

Re bold part - you another one who forgot we’ve won one in 15? -

Pfft - why not just admit you had it wrong? It’s not difficult, our club is run by shysters and is unpredictable. -

Gave him time (personally) but he has shown his arse.

We need…. Have you been asleep for 15 years? He is talking about the best we’re likely to get. Duff is obviously not that, but he has a few examples in his short career that suggest there might be something there. If it was my billions paying the bills it would be all out for Postecoglu. At least then you could convince him that he might win a trophy in his second season (league one) 😝 -

Joining the dots of “he walked because he wasn't going to get his signings” and him leaving today together as fool proof…. but then failing to acknowledge we’ve won 1 in 15… Sometimes I do wonder Gav… -

Ne’er a truer word spoken. Worst captain in the history of the club. -
The January 2026 Transfer Window
JBiz replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Both of those players are “forwards”. I agree with others that they’re likely not what the forward line lacks, I also expected a target man type (someone to replace Gueye) however we have Andri, Yuki, Jorgensen and Dapo. When we play 4 at the back that’s 1 central and two wide, and when we played 5 atb that’s two central. I agree wholeheartedly that Jorgensen and Dapo aren’t ambitious (especially the later) but I don’t think you can give Valerian an excuse when he refused to play Gueye for months in lieu of a swede who isn’t a striker. The man was thick. Listen to his analysis and interviews, he never even referenced style or tactics once. This showed on the pitch. There was never a plan. -

We’ve signed 3 players and two of them are forwards? I appreciate they’re not guaranteed championship goals but that costs big wages and/or fees. Valerian couldn’t keep us up with Szmodics and prime Rhodes up front -

He’s the one picking the team and running training. We all know the people above are fucking useless but don’t let that take anything away from how much of a simpleton Valerian Ismael Is -

He needs potting immediately. i know a lot of rovers fans play the “yea but he’s not the main issue” game and I agree with them but we need shut of him. Useless system, doesn’t matter who is playing, he couldn’t organise a blowjob in a brass house. I repeat, I don’t need a dress down on the bigger picture. That doesn’t take away from the fact this guy is fucking useless- 5310 replies

You could say they are putting active measures in place, but failing badly because the hierarchy have zero acumen or care for the job at hand, and they view the club as one of their “£20 down the back of the sofa” portfolio business, thus not bothered! I do know though, that anyone with a sense of financial responsibility, interest and care for an asset of community interest and value beyond money, and with a sense of pride in their actions and the impact they have on others would’ve never put Blackburn Rovers in this situation.

I know you didn’t ask me, but; 1. Dreams hit the nail on the head with this - we’re just a portfolio business, in their portfolio of hundreds of businesses - I would imagine it’s the equivalent to one of us losing £20 down the settee, or forgetting to sell something you don’t use, that’s been sat in the garage collecting dust. 2. Again -this is difficult to guess without knowing them. I would argue that we’re easier to sell in the top division however. 3. I think anyone with a semblance of basic brain function would say hindrance

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
JBiz replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Just to be clear, it’s not guilt. I don’t think this boycott will achieve anything other than a louder echo, or a load of nonsensical shit from the 168 Watford fans who turn up. What bothers me is I’m effectively forced to be in a divided group from other fans, because I paid for a season ticket last year and I don’t want to miss opportunities to take my dad out for the day. Even though we both agree with the idea that the owners have to sell up. That’s what he wants to do btw, because he’s done it for 60 years, so going to Darwen or Chorley isn’t a solution. I suggested staying in the club or staying down for the first ten minutes, but you can’t blame him for sticking to his guns. I have had a season ticket since 1990, but right now I’m done. My attending going forward is solely based on what family want to do. -

What if they never put the club up for sale and just do what they’ve done previously and cut more and more costs on the basis of low turnover? I guess I like that idea from the podcast because the club, like most things, is already for sale “at a price”. Mark described a more of a public plan / organised sort of protest which would be more than a slightly more busy Ewood on EFL highlights @StHelensRover There is no rationale argument against the idea that low turnover can turn off potential investors and vice versa. It’s also inherently far more positive of a protest. Would make it feel less like I’m crossing a picket line on Saturday as I have a season ticket. -

You’re preaching to someone who would buy the club, but would never have the opportunity! There is no removal of The Raos without a buyer. Just kills me this sort of hope. Thanks again MM. Hope you’re well. -

Sadly I agree hence the skepticism. Maybe if it’s last game of the season or something with lots of online presence it might get across to people as more important than this season, next or our current league position. -

Mark from the Blackburn end podcast made a point about doing a reverse boycott as a one off advert to potential new owners. Personally thought was a great idea, but sceptical on how you’d organise so thought I’d mention to see what others think.
