January Transfer window

Looks a lot quicker than Dolan. We need a goalscorer and that's what Eustace aluded to in his post match press conference. Not sure if a cheap backup for Beck + 2 is what he meant but he corrected his comments to 'a couple'. Godo isn't the goalscorer we need so has to be someone else too... -

Second match in a row he's started too. -

Aren't all players at a stage of their career where they need to play? Young players often say it, older player certainly say it. I don't mind McFadzean leaving but it shouldn't cost us anything, he's a valuable member of the squad as it is but I think it's evident that Sanderson has been brought in from left field so I'm sure they have something lined up for Fadz already. So two more in? One cover for Beck and an attacker? Could do with two attackers, one winger and one striker. -

Sanderson makes sense. Low risk move for him and us, and he has worked under Eustace prior so they know what to expect from each other. Forshaw I don't mind, but if he's here to be backup we have to rely on him being fit - that's a problem when over half the time he isn't! Downgrade from Baker imo, but Baker looked like his legs had gone (too). Can only see Kitching happening if he's cheap, and we need LB cover. I doubt it will happen now. Striker/winger please. Any names? -

Not so sure. Overrated manager and they'll have margins go against them at some point as well. Blades are favourites for me, with Leeds a close second. We need players that can hit the ground running and we needed them yesterday, so I'm baffled that we don't have any clear targets that have already joined. But business as usual eh? -

Cian Hayes looks like Peterborough's best player. -

Morton will be backup for Trav and Tronstad hopefully. I have no issues with us grabbing a defender Coventry paid £4m for not too long ago, but what we need are goalscorers and/or pace. -

Calling BS on that one. His contract is expiring in June, so would assume there's no recall option. Just my gut feeling. -

We're probably looking at them just taking over his wages. His deal is expiring in June fortunately. -

He's cut out for the Swedish league because it's a level or three below the Championship. He has shown glimpses here, but too many injuries and has struggled to nail down a spot here. Good finisher but that's about it. -

Six games left to play in January, including the FA Cup fixture this Saturday vs. Boro. We really need someone onboard asap. Wish they would scrap the transfer window, doesn't Jean-Marc Bosman have a son or a daughter? -

Trav is out for four more weeks and we won't sign anyone before deadline day anyway, so I would prioritise other positions. We need pace. Schlupp is a good option on loan. -

Could see he was fired up after the game and had some words with Scott Parker (knob). Totally feasible story, Eustace definitely has some bite in him. Wish he was going to see John Williams and not Gestede though. Rudi has a lot left to prove. -
We're not signing anyone, are we? Haven't even signed a new chief scout...
-
What was up with the music at full time as well? And who let those clowns take the corner flag?
-
It also feels as if he doesn't want the pain associated with playing a physical style.
-
Ohashi with one (?) since September too.
-
Yeah, and I definitely don't want a repeat of last season.
-
Gallagher or Gueye?
-
It's both. Our CB's are definitely slow and slow on the turn, but you make a really good point that I missed in my previous post(s). We're crying out for some pace out wide.
-
Doing a lot of tracking back and pressing, and our team is so far back when he receives the ball that there aren't many options going forward. But of course he has had a lot of misplaced passes, poor finishing and decision-making as well. It's fine margins. Burnley created one chance that they scored from, whereas we had none up until that point. Only a lot of wasted corner kicks.
-
I was hoping we would rise to the occasion and try and dictate the game more at our own turf. All our players work their socks off to keep the team-shape and it was obvious that that's where Gueye struggles - hence why Cantwell did the pressing down the middle and decided when we started it. We just can't stand a high line at the moment with no pace but hope Carter is back soon at least. Ideally would like another CB as quick, or quicker, than him for next season. Under JDT we had players roaming around the whole pitch, leaving us in big trouble at the back. But it was also free-flowing and difficult to defend against, and a joy to watch at times. I think we need longer stints in matches where we try and score goals rather than avoid conceding at all cost.
-
Why did he drag Gueye off when he knew there would be crosses into the box? He wasn't on a card either.
-
I hope we sell Bucko this window. Him and JRC can go.
