  1. Coventry were happy to let Forshaw pass it sideways and jog in our own half. Didn't offer much passing forwards, but didn't look totally lost either. But as soon as they tried to counter he was way off it and was easily passed. Tronstad and Travis are by no means quick either but a lot more agile. Too early to tell with Sanderson, thought he passed it backwards and sideways too much when we were two down but they were sitting back so not that many options seeing as we had a couple of injured players on there as well. Unfortunately for me then one that has looked the most out of pace (except for Forshaw) is Harry Leonard. Hoping he can get a lot somewhere and that we bring in a good player in his position.
  2. We haven’t coped, that’s why our recent record is terrible. And the situation is at its worst so far this season.
  3. Another one to the gut. Nightmare opponents. Won’t single out anyone negatively other than saying that this group and Eustace need help. They’re breaking down in front of our eyes. Still no signings. It’s the hope that kills you.
  4. He likes to drag fouls and sometimes it's necessary to slow play down and get our team higher up on the pitch. But he also becomes impatient and drops way too deep and into territory where Trav & Tron operate. Cantwell has said himself he sometimes over-complicates things and he not always pulls it off, but I think he's an asset and involved in most of our attacking play. We defend so deep at times and were outplayed by Oxford most recently, so I think we have to come to terms with the squad we have and its current limitations.
  5. We should aim a lot higher than that. One-dimensional but puts a decent cross in, but no better than Brittain does.
  6. Hamstrung FC In more ways than one
  7. As things stand we need to keep Garrett.
  8. I think he's good but he's got some of the same attributes as Cantwell has, and we can utilise others in the pocket as well, if needed. One for the summer.
  9. Eustace will have seen multiple players 'lose their legs', and probably felt it while playing himself. I'll give Forshaw a chance, but it's not looking good. Age is just a number (look at Bannan) but his body has a lot of mileage on it, and I stated that before he played single minute that I thought the signing was a bad idea.
  10. Didn’t find anyone in their squad that sits the bill but looks like he’s injured also and probably out or our league.
  11. I don’t think O’Brien will happen regardless. But the clock is ticking and we need bodies in. Our situation has changed for the worse since yesterday, and we need to adapt.
  12. Three hamstrings gone over a short period of time (Pickering, Trav and Tron) is a sign of things to come if we don’t strengthen multiple areas. We have worn down our starters and they need help. You’re suggesting a luxury problem we’re not used to having, and one I for one don’t mind is having at all.
  13. We need more players, of course.
  14. Pointless how? If he improves a squad that's challenging for promotion then that's a good thing, yes? Travis - good, but injured (soon back) Tronstad - good, but injured (6+ weeks?) Bucko - ok, has had a few injuries in the past Forshaw - not good, legs have gone JRC - varies a lot, not a sitting midfielder
  15. I hope Eustace is letting Waggott and Gestede know what he wants, and telling them to make things happen. We need bodies in yesterday.
  16. They're live now, but you're probably right. I think the EFL did us one on that one with the relegation clause having to be inserted, and I'm sure O'Brien sees that as well. McGuire on the other hand has more of a right to be pissed off. Unfortunate that O'Brien wasn't registered by Forest...
  17. Could really need him right now, but that one will either not happen or drag out because of his wages. I'm sure we've made a number of enquiries that we haven't followed up on.
  18. Aasgard is not what we need at this point in time. He's similar to what we have, we need pace/physicality and a striker that can score goals. Oh, and a LB and a CM.
  19. ACD poor once again when he starts. Perhaps keep him as an impact sub? Squad is wearing thinnnn. Nobody was lined up once the window opened - it's borderline criminal. Staff guilty of negligence. Anyone still wonder why John Park left? Forshaw's legs have gone, he can hardly move out there..
  20. He'll give us another outlet on the counter. Asante is the sort of player we face once in a while and I wonder why his goal-scoring record isn't better. His top level is very very good, but obviously there's some issues with consistency there. Left forward/striker - I think he'd be a useful addition to the squad. Are people realistically expecting better? Perhaps a talented PL youngster but I can't see us signing anyone with a better pedigree on a permanent transfer.
  21. Hedges looks short on confidence, that pass to Beck in the first was atrocious. Both him and Dolan are in the team because they work hard but we can find better.
  22. Thank you Callum! And well done to Batth for some great defending and to Eustace for making adjustments. Get in!
