  1. What's the sum of all parts in the Rovers team at the moment, if Travis isn't playing? Total transfer fees paid for our starting eleven must be a lot less than ยฃ10m?
  2. Did Ismael prove a point by playing de Neve in two posisions? First showing how ineffective he's in his natural position at LM/LW, then how he was a duck out of water on the right. Some baffling substitutions last night that tells me Ismael was more worried about some of his starters than the result.
  3. A shame for Tyjon who could've used the Carabao as a stepping stone into the first team, but like last season we went out early. I'd be tempted to sell him for ยฃ1m if that's Arsenal's offer and used the funds to strengthen our best 15. Can't see him getting much playing time in a struggling team unless Cantwell leaves.
  4. I liked Ismael speaking the truth. Just wish it wasnโ€™t all bad newsโ€ฆ
  5. Loves to cuddle with the ball and look pretty, but he canโ€™t be effective in two places on the pitch at the same time. Has to be that he doesnโ€™t listen to instructions because he wants to drive the team to win and thinks he has to do it all himself. Underwhelmed by him in the whole tbh.
  6. Cantwell hardly got forward and gave them a big chance. Canโ€™t remember him turning a game around for us ever.
  7. Bradford rotated six players as well so no excuses. We are shit going forward and donโ€™t have the right players to dominate teams. The subs were pre-planned and proof is that Montgomery stayed on for that long when he played to a 1 out of 10 rating. How many times did we gift them glorious oppurtunities? Still, we shouldโ€™ve had at least two goals. I liked the looks of Miller, Tavares and (at times) Henriksson.
  8. Henriksson a threat but shouldnโ€™t be playing as a winger. Wharton looks quite mobile. Sub Montgomery off. Tavares looks good, but Bradford happy to give him a lot of time on the ball.
  9. My heart broke a little when JDT left because I realised the football I'd seen under him was probably the best (at least in parts) that I've seen us play in a number of years. Pure joy. Jury's out on Ismael but you do have a point!
  10. Is it on RoversTV? Hope Tyjon gets a start.
  11. Eustace ball, I don't miss his style of play.
  12. Been mentioned several times in this thread, but yet to see that he's been linked to us.
  13. Cantwell hasn't performed unfortunately and doesn't seem like an Ismael type of player. If him and Travis leaves then Tronstad will be our enforcer (and hopefully captain, though I doubt it with his contract running out) with Henriksson, Tavares and Baradji (if signed) playing more attacking roles. If we're not selling Tyjon this summer, then I think that means they have big plans for him this coming season.
  14. How did Gestede get the job if he's not well thought of? Difficult to comprehend considering his lack of experience. But isn't he just another puppet acting out the orders of Mr. Suhail Pasha, @glen9mullan? Rovers had a great dressing room 12 months ago. Is that still the case?
  15. That's Travis gone then. Unless he signs a new contract, which I highly doubt. The only one we can afford to let run down his contract is Tronstad, but hoping him and Hyam extends.
  16. Carter never got going and had a poor season overall. Hyam had a very solid season but it's also because we were sat deeper than prior so him and Baatth weren't exposed. A repeat of finishing seventh seems like utopia to me at this stage, but we'll see.
  17. I think we can all agree that Gueye is a pretty poor finisher, at least with his legs. Unplayable on his day but very inconsistent. Ohashi is more consistent but his peak level isn't as high. I think as a pair they're good enough and gives us different options, but we need one more striker I think.
  18. Maybe it's a teaser for next summer's 'It's been 30 years since I left you' anniversary?
  19. Miyoshi would be a great signing, but not at ยฃ2m. Half of that and it's a deal for me. Has experience in the Championship, hard-working and contributes offensively. Don't think we'll play two Kargbo's at once, so don't mind a more disciplined option on one of the flanks. Do we need a striker as well or can Gueye and Ohashi at least make it until January? And surely we won't sign both Baradji and Miyoshi?
  20. He hasn't been a regular this season, that doesn't sound too promising. But injury concerns, his contract nearing its end, and increased competition in the GAIS midfield were all factors.
  21. de Neve is the type of player you can start away from home when looking to catch teams on the break (not letting them get too comfy and sit high). Also when protecting a lead towards the end of matches or if we face an opposition RW with pace and he needs to help our slower players in Ribeiro and Pickering.
  22. I would imagine that they have consulted an indipendent expert on the field, as well as listening to the experiences the player has had living (and playing) with the condition. We're recruiting from the bargain basement so there's bound to be an issue with every player we sign - not necessarily medically though.
  23. The medical should be extra thorough considering his condition.
  24. Sell Trav for ยฃ4m, buy Baradji for ยฃ1.5m and pay off Mafoumbi.
