  1. Been waiting for that reply 😄 I ran out of players to choose from and I rate him over Sigurdsson on the wing.
  2. Representing the fans in a meeting with Waggott and his PR man, then keeping secrets from their fellow fans? Doesn't sit right with me. The club has lacked transparency for years now...
  3. Battle and Sigurdsson don't go together I'm afraid. Pears Hyam McFadzean Wharton JRC Tronstad Garrett Chrisene Moran Szmodics Gallagher
  4. I think it's just Suhail that has put his foot down and Waggott was probably seeking final confirmation on the McGuire deal (as it required cash), that he didn't get or get in time. If they can't inject money from India then surely they'll have to sell...? Who wants to buy Rovers in its current state though?
  5. Question for me is how bad do they want things to change... Maybe this is a blessing in disguise and they have to get rid...
  6. I think we were looking towards a summer with some sensible spending, but ended up with a depleted squad. Then comes January and we sell our biggest asset and expect some of it reinvested, but no...the slide down the table was inevitable and I think there needs to be a statement made by the club and from the owners about their long term commitment to Rovers. Absolute mad that we can't get money injected into the club.
  7. Message must've come directly from India via Suhail. JDT wouldn't have mentioned his name otherwise. SW being kept in the loop so knows the whole story too, while GB and JDT are frustrated as hell, but GB is the cooler head. I hope GB and JDT ride this one off, and good to see that JDT had GBs back and put pressure on the board and enlighten the fans. Unfortunately some fans are too blind to see it.
  8. If Venky's can't get funds through to the club then what's the point of their ownership? Would imagine they at least have some feelers out for prospective buyers? And they can probably do an NDA if they're worried about losing face.
  9. Nail in the coffin for me is if Ennis the Menace scores the winner on Saturday.
  10. Could be true but if he doesn't play we will never find out. We need another goalscorer. O'Riordan is long term btw.
  11. Based on that timeline, the EFL have rejected the application today, and Rovers will appeal and know the result in a aproximately a little over a week from now. Then it's my guess they won't run it all the way until March, so that's that. A statement should be released by the club tomorrow. Anything else is criminal.
  12. We won't appeal as far this time. The transfer window shut January 31 at 11pm in 2023 and the decision from EFL came after February 2. Then Rovers' initial appeal was submitted before February 7. That's where I think it'll stop this time, if they don't show us some luuuuv. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23295451.blackburn-rovers-issue-club-statement-efl-reject-lewis-obrien-deal/
  13. 'Tommy & The Fax Machines' Anyone remember when the first 'verdict' came in the January 2023 saga?
  14. I'd be too. Think someone wrote that the situation where he got upset was that someone shouted to him from the stands to get up. Being our hardest working player and a bit of a hot-head, that didn't go down too well. Out of all our players he's the last player that should be criticised for the mess we're in. Fantastic season.
  15. lol jesus digital fax machine. No way. They'll either scan and send an e-mail directly from a multi-purpose printer/scanner or via their own e-mail (most likely as they can double check everything). How can they 'forget'? It was the biggest incoming transfer of the window, and they know not to fuck up. Whatever ends up happening we'll have a hard time convincing JDT to stay past the summer.
  16. They appealed as a courtesy to O’Brien who couldn’t play for either Forest nor Rovers at the time. It ‘worked out’ eventually with MLS being an option. This time I doubt we’ll appeal and will work on a summer move instead. McGuire can continue playing for Orlando in the meanwhile. The EFL really made a mess I think, it’s okay to be strict but they should take more consideration to the player in question. Big fine for Rovers and play on. Imo.
  17. He's pretty good off the ball too, but he'll have to develop both aspects of his game if he's to become a major player in the PL. Give him a couple of years and he'll have the complete package and be a regular in the England squad.
  18. Well, I've thought about what went to shits in the game versus QPR and I think by trying to objectively break down the team then I see so much weakness that everyone has to be on top of their game in order to win against any division rival. Pears - quick and has definitely improved, but still a pretty poor shot stopper and not the tallest plus a bit weak physically. Lower Championship level. JRC - Rusty and a bit heavy-legged after just having returned from injury. Probably shouldn't start at this stage but we don't have anyone else. Will get going soon and has to. Championship level. Hyam - Played decent but really slow and don't think he commands his co-workers enough as captain. Championship level. Wharton - Slow on and off the ball. Not the strongest, tallest or fastest. League One level. Chrisene - Motm!? Not for me. He has potential but offered little going forward other than the chance he scuffed in the first half. Only option atm. Lower Championship level. Moran - Unreliable and so many passes goes astray. Doesn't look a threat but has some raw attributes that might make him a decent player down the line. Not ready for a starting spot in the Championship, but must be in his contract. League One level. Tronstad - Our best player in recent weeks but had a poor game. Didn't click with Moran and lost some important duels. Smart enough to know when he has to foul; look at the yellow card he took when he lost the ball clumsily. Top Championship level. Szmodics - Was a shadow of himself. He kept running but his teammates lack the footballing IQ to look for him in goalscoring positions. Worst game he's played in a good while, but not only his fault. Top Championship level. Sigurdsson - Worst player on the pitch. Offer nothing, nothing... Has no pace and no trickery to play on the wing. Never crosses the ball, just cuts inside and gets muscled off the ball or gives it away. I wonder what his favourit position is because he's terrible on the LW. League One level. Dolan - Thought he was the worst player on the pitch initially but a lot of action around him at least. Like a hornet buzzing around but without the sting. Only interested in marketing himself and doesn't care about the team. Head must be elsewhere. Could've played Szmods 1 on 1 in the first half but opted to get his shot blocked instead. Needs to improve and find a higher low for his performance levels. League One level. Gallagher - after a great game versus Wrexham (same as Dolan) he was back to his worst. Unable to do his job; hold the ball up, get his teammates involved and get in the box to convert crosses. Got a goal off a richochet, and looks hungry for goals, which is good. Has to know his limits and must stop losing the ball so easily by turning inside. T R A P the ball ffs. Championship level. Telalovic - Doesn't look like scoring anytime soon. League One level. Ayari - Some promise. Interested in making things happen, even if that means he'll lose the ball once in a while. Championship level Markanday - Not worse than Dolan but that doesn't mean it's a compliment. Fails to make an impact from the bench nine times out of ten. Lower League One level.
  19. To sell the new model to the owners, they must've promised a lot of return on the player-trading model. Looks obvious to me that India put their foot down on incomings and we could only pay minuscule fees.
  20. The larger fanbase of other clubs don't really know what's going on at Rovers. They get the bits and parts, and of course it's embarrassing with two deadline day dogshite dealings, but most people follow their own teams and don't really see more than the surface; poor run of results. It's a bit of a catch 22 because the only way we can turn this around is if the club gets bigger support, but I know why people won't chuck money after the current lot. So I'll ask you a question: What would have to change for you to return to your 'old ways'?
