  1. Until he's officially signed elsewhere or the deadline has shut, I'm not taking that as evidence. Things change quickly. But worrying, most definitely.
  2. We might rue the day McGuire signed after all, we don't know if he's any good yet. And I'm not sure I believe he was our top target in the summer as he had played around half a season of professional football in the MLS at that time.
  3. There are three sides to the deal so could be leaks from Orlando City or from McGuire's camp, who knows. Doesn't matter really.
  4. Relax and breathe, we don't know for certain what has transpired and what will transpire in the next 12+ hours. In Waggott we trust:
  5. Until McGuire signs for Sheff Wed we shouldn't jump the gun either way. Transfers break down all the time in football, or there are bumps in the road, but Egg knows he has to deliver some incomings if they let our crown jewel go. As for transfers not breaking down the other way, they definitely do. Ennis to Bolton the most recent one.
  6. I'll be paying close attention today and not taking anything for granted until I see an official announcement. With that said I was worried coming into the January window and if we don't see any positive news today it's even worse than I thought possible.
  7. Egg doing an O’Riordan and taking forever to close the deal? Someone slide into McGuires mums dm’s.
  8. No more Swedes please. Only the Olssons were any good for us.
  9. Maybe Orlando City are blackmailing us for McGuire so we're trying to ruin their Brekalo deal... Like the time we bid for £5m Cantona after telling Man United to f off a number of times in their chase for Shearer.
  10. Did we piss someone off? https://x.com/gamstjones12/status/1752769795336933863?s=20
  11. Brekalo for the money mentioned (£3m) is good business. Preferably should be turning 24 and not 26 this year, if we want to make a profit on him, but he's a good defender with the right mentality. Can easily double our money in a year on him. We have enough versatile players to plug a hole or two in the interim of players coming back from injury, but certainly wouldn't mind a central midfielder next. And a goalkeeper would be a plus too but that ain't happening. Who's getting excited LOL
  12. We have a 12-month option for extention, as well as him being younger than 24 so a tribunal would set the fee. In any case we won't be left with nothing.
  13. That's a lot more than the $2.3m mentioned yesterday.
  14. Think he changed agency recently but they have held discussions prior. This is the latest I can find on the matter: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/23941324.dolan-contract-update-blackburn-negotiations-hold/
  15. He hasn't accepted the contract he's been offered, so ultimately that's a yes.
  16. Selling Raya for a bargain price only for him to injure our biggest asset at first sight. You couldn't make it up.
  17. Summed up perfectly. JDT probably has his spreadsheet setup similarly to this. I disagree on Garrett not being ready, but we're looking as stretched as ever.
  18. With a win we're eight points behind Coventry with 51 points still to be played for. Can't rule out anything both ways, but going all out now doesn't make sense, I agree. Selling Adam on the final day doesn't make sense either, don't understand why we're rushing the deal with him being on a long contract and with the money not going to be spent now anyway.
  19. They will figure out something creative to blame the lack of transfer funds on from now and until the summer.
  20. As long as we're zonal marking he can bark and do whatever he likes and we won't improve on set pieces against.
