With all that negativity said, we came out in the second half looking a lot better and took control of the game. I thought finally, we're going to win here, but then Morton made the error. He's only young and will learn, but that's two mistakes in a week from our young loanees costing us. Hirst is definitely not up for it btw.

Rookie striker never scored in the Championship steps up and takes the penalty. Looked shambolic all night, really unconvincing stuff. Nowhere near good enough.

Unchanged side from Tuesday. Should’ve made more changes in the second half on Tuesday to give some of the key players a bit of a rest. Luton better than us at everything today. A really tough place to come to and a draw would’ve been a great result. Need to find some consistency.

Game of opinions eh? I thought Morton stood out and played a big part in us dominating the first half entirely. Calm on the ball, seldom chooses the wrong option. Simple most of the time, clever all of the time. Almost played Breo through but was marginally offside.

They were really poor last season in the Premier League. Big job to organise that lot, it's a team full of individuals where the best have already left. Credit to us for making them look like they belong another level below tonight. Morton the best player on the pitch for me, but a lot of top performances tonight.

Wharton wow. Buckley watch and learn; They share a lot of the same attributes but young Adam really showed him how to play tonight. A lot of positive performances and Hirst will fit in nicely through the middle in this team. Just hope Brereton stays and we can beat anyone on our day.

I don't rate Dykes. Hirst I have only seen the highlight reel on Youtube and he seems decent with a lot of potential for growth. Not good enough as a replacement for BBD, but as an addon to what we have. Dolan should be sold in my view.

More people than you suggested Barkley 😉 Downes on loan, yes of course, but WH play enough games to keep him around. Think he'll get games.

I'd never say no to van Hecke. Ayala's passing is almost as bad as his injury record.
