  1. Thomas Frank is a good manager but they didn't adapt to our changes in the second half. Held on and think he'll be a relieved man after tonight.
  2. For anyone wondering Dack hurt his right knee last season. If it's his knee this time it looked like it had to be his left one, but could be ankle or groin, not sure. Hope he'll be okay, but probably out for a little while. Bennett looked worried cos it's our main man, and Raya is a fair player - but that was a pen. One soft pen given to them, two clear-cut pens not given to us.
  3. I don't agree with you. Over 90 minutes it could have gone either way. They didn't create much in the first despite being superior but we were far better than them in the second half. Elliott has to be starting every game, but I understand Tony wanting to field the same eleven (except for Nyambe). Think Buckley is starting to look better and better and hope he gets a good run in the side. On to the next one. Boys can be proud of the second half. Hope Dack is okay.
  4. Get rid of Graham. Build a team that plays passing football. Make sure you have the worst pitch in the league system.
  5. Brentford simply a better team than us. Ref doing us no favour on their penalty. Need a fluke goal and/or a couple of changes. Pretty frustrating to watch.
  6. Forgot to mention the foul on Buckley prior. Poor refereeing.
  7. Sublime pass by Trybull. Looked like a pen for me, very very clumsy again by Sam in his own box. Ayew never fails to score against us. Decent game, we've got ten men up for it + Douglas on the pitch.
  8. Jury is still out on Dolan for me. Apart from his bright start he's had little impact and struggles with his end product. But happy to be proven wrong, and the from little I saw of him today he looked very sharp.
  9. Dack was robbed of a penalty as well. Listened to the first half on the radio and caught the second on iFollow. Hopefully we can build on this and if Dolan continues this level of performances I'll have to seriously reconsider my ability to 'spot a player'. Douglas picked up the gauntlet after being dropped vs. Reading. Harwood-Bellis is miles better than Branthwaite and good to see players coming back from injury. Two home games against two good sides coming up, this win was vital.
  10. I think they tried tonight, but we didn't create much against a good side. But we're conceding goals in every fashion possible. From set pieces, individual mistakes from our goalkeeper, centre halves, creative midfielders etc. etc. We're not organised to win on a regular basis and fight for promotion, and I don't know why we have so many injuries - is it down to our physio department? Rigerous training regime?
  11. It would have been a different game, I know. Just saying he fielded the best eleven tonight, but he hasn't for the most part. Unlucky with injuries, but poor tactical setup and absymal form means he has to go.
  12. 19% against the top half before tonight, less than that now. Good effort but time to go Tony.
  13. Bell has had a good game for his standards, Nyambe has been better in previous matches but is a constant threat. Their left back matches his pace and is a good full back, can't expect Rhino to be our main outlet every game. Basically a clean sheet from our defenders apart from their goal. Thought Harwood-Bellis should have let Kaminiski deal with Joao and gotten closer to Puskas on their goal but it was mission impossible.
  14. Harwood-Bellis miles better than Branthwaite. I hope Mowbray sticks with this back four and eleven for a few games now.
  15. Good half of football that. I'll forgive Elliott for his huge error, under the current circumstances it is a horrible mistake to make though. Reading are a good side, can't see us beating them tonight. We stop moves and turn back towards our own goal too often, midfield struggle to contribute in the final third despite 60% possession. A little one dimensional but hard working team and should have been equal at the break.
  16. Our loan signings this season really haven't done too well and not much of an improvement on what we had before the season, taking Elliott out of the equation as he'll be a PL starter next season. Branthwaite - looks like a poor man's Wharton Harwood-Bellis - too early to judge Elliott - gem Douglas - legs have gone, lacks attributes altogether Trybull - gets stuck in, but injury prone and ball hugger. Passes backwards more often than not, putting our shaky defenders in trouble Permanent signings haven't done much better Kaminski - not much of an upgrade from Walton, definitely not better than Raya Pears - not up to it Stergiakis - not seen Ayala - good player but injury prone, poor signing Downing - took too long to figure out his own future. One of our stars last season, looks a lot less fit this term. Still great on the ball but legs have gone for CM unless partnered with protectors. Dolan - great start but looks a one trick pony despite having ten tricks up his sleeve. Lightweight and without real pace. League 1 or 2 in a couple of years. All this is down to Mowbray and although we've suffered a lot of injuries, his time is up for me. Can't see a team here, we don't play as a unit either way and he's had several seasons to put a squad together and play the way he wants.
  17. Terrible second half. Douglas and Branthwaite nowhere near good enough for this league. The usual Houdini act from Rothwell as well. Disappointed.
  18. I didn't get to see much of the game against Forest but against Barnsley Mowbray was looking as weary as the team and sat on the bench for most of the match. A lot more active coaching tonight, but to no avail.
