  1. Southgate will need to play his best 11 in those 2 games as WC preparation and to get a win to protect our seeding level going forward. The above line up is approaching our strongest yet apart from Kane and to a lesser extent Sterling doesn't have many goals in it. It does have Rice who does the work of 3 players. Kane goes deep or wide too often. It works at Spurs where he has Son to pick out, and Kane is a fantastic distance passer. Saka and Shaw for that matter are not a Son. When Kane goes deep or wide there is just nobody of an attacking threat ahead of him on any consistent basis.
  2. Ben messed up his penalty today v Ghana, he wasn't the only one to do so for Chile who missed 3 to lose the shootout 3-1. Ben started by being wide left and later in the game played more centrally. Had a couple of shots but not too involved. The Chileans still have a preference to switch play to the right even when going left is more doable. Ok game and Ghana deserved the win.
  3. I agree that Southgate has credit in the bank and don't advocate a panic change. It's not a tinpot tournament. Ask Hungary. I don't think it helps anyone to say it's tinpot just because of England's performance in it. It's timing due to the corrupt timing of the Qatar WC is unfortunate. I have watched quite a few NL games and many teams take it seriously.
  4. That's the quickest post deletion I've ever see. Impressive. Is it automated?
  5. 4 sub par performances on the bounce is some bump. Southgate has no idea what his best team or system is. He has used the NL to give all his lads game time, let's see how that pans out in Qatar. I do not advocate a change of manager now, it's too late in the day.
  6. A lad from Burnley would have the hind legs in his wellies.
  7. With Joe and Ashley doing summary I just switched off.
  8. The kickin idea is from people who should know better trying to look clever and justify their position. Just about the most ludicrous idea ever. They should try and influence an improvement in refereeing and VAR at all levels, who are influencing games more than the players.
  9. We would just miss more often.
  10. Saks off, Maguire on whilst getting stuffed. Words fail me.
  11. I watched NZ v the trash of Costa Rica and a Ref that makes our EFL rubbish look world class. I hope he was paid well. Off to watch England maybe try and salvage some pride. Germany may disagree that these games are a waste of time, a view taken by losers.
  12. Jimmy Quinn, good header of the ball which was just as well as his feet weren't much use. I quite liked him and he had a decent career and went full international when with Rovers. We made a decent profit on him too.
  13. Excellent news and good that he has brought his main assistants with him. Let's hope that the owners give him some cash for the window. COYB
  14. Unused sub. He did play the first half v Argentina in the 5th place game, 3-2 win to Argentina.
  15. I tried too but the steam was unwatchable, too much buffering. Quite unusual for the sources used.
  16. I doubt that our used car salesman CEO has even told him the make of car, its age or mileage or where it's garaged.
  17. Actually when Big Sam was stabbed in the back there were those on here at that time who predicted an outcome and turned out to be fortune tellers and to have no need of hindsight. Big Sam is gone and one thing that is certain is that he ain't coming back to the Rovers Circus down to its last caravan and a few performing seals. If it is JDT then he gets my support 100 pc .... at the start and for at least 3 transfer windows, that's 2 seasons. I just want this debacle over. #FielderOutNow
  18. Get thee behind me Google. I will stick with my early morning coffee and thoughts of JDT making Gallagher a goal scoring central striker. I swear it's only coffee I'm on.
  19. Listening to Broughton list his areas of influence it sounded like a DoF & Operations position. My theory is that hard times are coming and Waggott and Suhail need a fall guy. Step forward GB. IMO.
  20. And that @Paul Maniis FACT and not your fake news. Try harder.
  21. I can't speak for Rev but I know that and it doesn't alter anything. Get it?
  22. The manager debacle, the inexperienced DoF, the state of Ewood, STs etc etc and now the tosser of Commercial. I swear that if you set out to deliberately destroy a club it couldn't be done any better.
  23. Broughton has no experience in the role of DoF. None. He will have to learn on the job. We may as well have given it to DJ. He will have been appointed as he's available, cheap and beholden. Good luck with that one. IMO, before some dip gets in ....
  24. There is still a lot of demolition work and new housings builds to do.
  25. Waggott would have instructed the like minded Fielder to reply to such emails from supporters. He will have known what sort of response you would get from Fielder which he as CEO agreed with but couldn't put his name to directly. Why use Fielder when the club already has a Supporter Liaison person. The club is owned and run by trash. In my opinion
