To be fair it only takes a point to be clear 2nd. -

Not really. Ayala hasn’t started a league game since the defeat to QPR mid-October. The defensive form during our superb run has been all down to the introduction of Van Hecke and Wharton. -
This has been far from totally wicked.
-
He’s been that bad he’ll score here.
-
So do I. But nobody ever needed to.
-
You’re noticing what Trav actually does without the ball here.
-
Both games over Christmas people were just showing their match ticket on their phones to get past the stewards checking vaccine passports. Basically you just needed to show any QR code and they let you through.
-
To be fair you never did.

Rovers know the feeling will be generally negative with having a vaping company as main kit sponsor. When Recoverite was announced there was a lot of description who they were and what they did on the website press release. Neither the club or Totally Wicked make any mention at all of what the company do on yesterdays post on the website. That’s pretty telling.

The goal in the United game was disallowed because the player who did the blocking was offside, not for the actual foul. (Just as @Tyrone Shoelacessays. I should have read the thread through 🙃) -
I received RE3 for my birthday early last year and then Village for Christmas. It felt wrong not playing 3 through first.

Not sure why you’re so truculent. It wasn’t meant as an antagonist reply. But Kaminsky only had to make one (excellent) save and then when they hit the post he had it perfectly covered stood right behind the miss-hit cross. In the last 5 games only 2 teams have scored more than us so scoring isn’t a worrying problem at the moment . We ain’t going to bang 3 in every game, but if we now also have the ability to nick a goal and defend it in games where we aren’t playing well then that’s a huge positive. Not a negative. They did play poorly going forward today. But they defended extremely well and were certainly not ‘flukey’ to hang on to that lead. -

It was against the run of play posession-wise but I wouldn’t say flukey. I would if they were hitting the post and missing good chances but not in how the game panned out. We had some good situations before we went 1 up and I thought we were the better side up until the goal. Then we sat back and miserably failed in trying to hit them on the break. Those tactics might not have worked for us offensively, but when you have a defence that have conceded just 3 goals in the last 10 league games then you know if you get in front you can hold the lead (whoever thought we would say that about Tony’s Rovers). Therefore to concede a lot of possession once in front and not be an attacking force but comfortably hang on isn’t flukey. Weirdly, I never felt like we were going to concede there, where previously you just sat there waiting for it to happen. -

The first booking is a bit ridiculous by the ref, but Nyambe was stupid for the second yellow. -

Absolutely turgid, slack passing, lack of footballing intelligence and overrun for most of the second half. Get in 🔵⚪ 😀😀 -
The good thing from our perspective with it looking like it could be 3 from 4 ,is that even if you stop up it means Newcastle will go down, and vice versa. And yet there's a real chance you both go. And even if by some unexpected miracle that doesn't happen, next on the hit list are either Leeds or Everton 😀 Happy days 🔵⚪

Watford play Newcastle this weekend and Burnley next Tuesday. 6 points from those two games and it's jelly and ice cream.

Just finished the Resident Evil 3 remake. I have the same opinion as I had 20 years ago. It feels like they put so much effort into making RE2 special and memorable, with multiple story lines, endings and intriguing plot and locations. And then RE3 feels rushed and like a massive step back. Very linear and lacks the puzzle solving of the two that preceded it. It is definitely the ugly sister of the first 4 numbered games.

“Hi Stewart, it’s Tony” -
As I state above, they gave it for offside on the guy who Cavani ran in to. The ref looked at the monitor to decide if the player was interfering. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12513373/man-utd-vs-aston-villa-steven-gerrard-points-to-length-of-var-check-after-danny-ings-strike-disallowed

It was offside. If a goalkeeper was back-peddling to tip a cross over the bar and he ran into a player stood behind him who was offside then it would clearly be an offside. If a defender is running back and a guy is stood in an offside position and stops the defender having a chance of getting to the ball (either because he stands in his way or makes the defender run around with him, then the offside player is clearly interfering with play. From the laws:- A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by: preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision. making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball When you actually look at it like that the offside decision is clearly correct. What IS a shambles is VAR doesn't have to explain the decision. If a report was published after each match as to WHY each decision VAR looked at was given or not given it would be a lot clearer for the fans.
