Yeah but at the moment we are interchanging Khadra and Dolan with great success, and you would hate for one of the existing team to be benched to make way for him. He’s going to have to wait his turn until called for surely.

Outstanding result if not performance. Amazing what having Gally not on the wing is doing! The 3/5 man defence suddenly is working because Wharton and JPVH are better than both the loanee’s we had last season, and any centre halves we have had for a while. Thankfully one of them is ours as well. Somebody please tell me his contract has some length on it.

It says on PNE site that they are still awaiting a decision as to whether tickets will be on sale on the day. Although unlikely, had they stuck with the bottom tier there was a chance the bottom tier might sell out on the day, and they would be turning fans away. This way they can get another 3000 in if demand is there. Possibly. Either way I’m sure there’s a financial reason to make a few extra bucks behind it.
-
If they stuck in the same division for 3 consecutive years they would do though (which I know wasn’t the point made to be fair)

I’m confident if Kaminsky plays. If he’s out I think we will not play our natural game in order to protect Pears a bit and struggle. 3-1 win or 2-2 depending.

My mates dad once met Don King in the States and said he was very chatty and approachable.

An extra few hundred on matchday will give the team very little boost. -

Very little, as the support at both home and away games is always behind the players with the exception of a 7-0 home defeat which isn’t really a surprise. -

It’s amazing what happens when we stop playing big strikers on the wings. Excellent professional performance. The work rate to get the ball back is currently top notch. I was worried we’d lose a bit of that without Dolan but even Khedra was at it. Providing Kaminsky isn’t too serious it’s been an excellent day. -
This is by no means meant to undermine what has been a start to the season far better than what I hope for this year But this league is once again pretty poor. The top 2 are clearly superior to everyone else, which is showing in the big gap between 2nd and 3rd. But from QPR in 4th down to Reading in 21st there seems very little difference in quality. Simple organisation, work ethic and team spirit will get you a long way in this league. Normally you say that even if certain teams sneak into the top 6, the chances are there are better team above them in the play offs, but that doesn't seem to apply this year. West Brom could spend some money and turn a corner in January, but if you were in the play offs along with QPR, Coventry and Stoke you wouldn't be fearful. Big opportunity this year, and I'm talking for all clubs not just Rovers.

Apart from? That’s 3 out of 6 of those names that don’t fit Balaji’s alleged master plan. Balaji hasn’t got a scooby what goes on. I accept Mowbray may have had to spin him that line to get the go ahead on BB.

Because we are not in the scenario my full post was describing. However it's a good bit of forward planning by Venkys incase we ever are.
-
I’m only pointing out that if they decided to put the club into administration (of which there is no real sign that’s on the horizon), the fact they owe most of the debt to themselves is irrelevant. Plus in order to get any money out of it in that scenario, they have now removed the major asset out of the club. But I agree the annual loss could be managed better with a better management structure.
-
That’s a lot of footballing contracts they would need to pay off though.
-
If Venkys ever decide they don’t want to put £15mill a year into the club, but no-one is willing to pay money for a business which is losing £15mill a year, what do they do? And if the club is put into administration in that circumstance, the training ground is conveniently separate.

January Transfer window 2022
Hasta replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
To be fair, I'd probably sell in January for £51 million -
Honestly you could get page after page of views on this. An issue with Kean (because there are several) was that he was willingly happy to release or alienate players of the quality of Ryan Nelson, Michel Salgado and Brett Emerton to replace them with players suggested by SEM, at the same time as transfers were suddenly being allowed to happen whilst bypassing the board of directors.. (Theres a letter from our Chief exec that confirms this) Releasing proven international and premier league players and replacing them with several nobodies from Portugal (all linked to the same agency) and with Myles Anderson (son of Jerome Anderson) is clearly, clearly not in the interest of Blackburn Rovers effort to retain Premier league status, but may be in the interest of the new players coming in and anybody else who profits from those transfers. Why would a manager acting in the best interests of Blackburn Rovers go along with this? If Kean has really been cut loose from all his previous connections and is now just wanting to operate as purely an academy coach and has no ties elsewhere then he might be a half decent coach. But the fact this failed manager keeps getting articles in media, mentioned on radio and sky sports tell us somebody is still quite close to Kean to have the power to make these mainstream media organisations try and keep him relevant and rewrite history as him being the hard-working manager-done-wrong. The club has never recovered. The fanbase has never recovered. The everyday people who lost their jobs at Ewood may never have recovered, nor the surrounding areas that rely on matchday traffic. The sad thing is as much as Blackburn Rovers fans shouted, the message wasn't allowed to get out. Therefore the general football public think he was just a manager out of his depth who got a rough ride from a nasty set of supporters.

Let’s remember the John Williams letter to Venkys revealed: ”it had been made clear they (the board) would have no input into the club’s transfer window strategy and they described this as ‘unacceptable’ and ‘not in the best interests of the club’. The letter revealed manager Steve Kean was no longer required to report to the board on transfer matters. It also called for Mrs Desai to explain to the board the role played at the time by the SEM agency – headed by agent Jerome Anderson – in the club’s transfer policy.” Unless people are foolish enough to believe Venkys were handling transfer policy directly themselves, that’s not badly run. That’s against FA rules and is certainly a reason for the authorities to intervene.

Premier League season 21/22

United fans will tell you it's not the Liverpool and City games that concern them, but more the performances in the games against Everton, Villa, Leicester, West Ham, Southampton. -

If you don't think last nights result will have any impact on Saturday's gate, my mate has just phoned me and says having witnessed the game on Sky he is not bothering coming over to Blackburn to watch it on Saturday. And he's already bought the ticket ! -
