  1. Not too fussed myself (I'm not English btw ), but out of the candidates, O'Neill or Pearce would be it. Granted Pearce has not got the managerial experience, but then neither did Hughes before Wales, or Van Basten before Holland / Klinsmann before Germany for that matter. But they do have bags of International experience as players, which should stand for something, and I do think that he'd keep the inflated egos of Team England in check and take none of the nonsense and whinging. Same I reckon would go for O'Neill too, and Allardyce at a push (although on the whinging maybe not!). This would be where I think Curbishley would fail, he just doesn't seem the type to make a stand. As for dealing with the media, Pearce and O'Neill would also shine out above the rest. But hey, it's up to the incompetent FA to choose.
  2. Although I think that was due to the timing of when we played them. I think we got them in the midst of their bad run. Although they are becoming good at the right time, as are Liverpool, now that they've found their shooting boots!
  3. Only Chelsea next for them. Hoping they get another tanking
  4. If that's the case, then makes it all the more important to press on and aim for fourth place.
  5. Not sure, although I do remember Millwall playing in the UEFA Cup after they got stuffed in the FA Cup final by Man U.
  6. I reckon the media have got hold of the fact that he's played well against Utd and that he's also a fan and put it together. But is still pure speculation, which is bound to go overboard when the summer transfer sagas start. As for Duff, would be good to see him back, feeding passes to a fully fit Bellamy.
  7. Wouldn't be surprised if that happened. Might confirm the ol' conspiracy theorists
  8. Can't really go wrong with German engineering really. Should've got them in instead, oh and built it in Birmingham instead
  9. Their response doesn't surprise me to be honest. Although as has been been said, you don't see Bradford, Man United, Rangers, even Juventus play on the anniversary of their tragedies. Just Liverpool
  10. Especially as in ManU's case, only losing once and beating them twice out of four games played this season
  11. I'll believe it when I see him holding a mancy scarf/shirt. Until then, in both Reid's & Ped's case, get on with securing us with European footy first.
  12. I'd go along with that. Banging in the goals in League 2 is all well and good, but a step up against better opposition in the Fizzy Pop League, will see if he has a chance to make the grade in the first team.
  13. We didn't have Bellamy when we beat the Mancs in THE 4-3 game though. And the thought of what Bellamy would be like fully fit for a whole season is mouth watering, considering his goal tally this season.
  14. I'm sure I remember the rest of the SPL clubs declare their intent to resign from the SPL, if Rangers/Celtic didn't do their own TV deal or if the TV money wasn't fairly divided between the rest of the clubs, when the TV deal was being negotiated.
  15. Should be just the one game. 3 for a straight red. Course, depends on how many yellows he's clocked up as well though.
  16. Which is probably more than we'd get from Parry!
  17. True. Although if the Arse & Bolton lose, and we win then we'll be in a good position come fulltime. Just wish Chelsea had done us a favour and spanked Spurs hard by banging in a fair few goals to reduce their goal difference, instead of leaving it to the last minute to get the winner
  18. Was thinking this as well. A draw, coupled with The Arse, Bolton losing and us winning would be a good result.
  19. Just glad we played them when we did
  20. They've had plenty of time to sort it out when the fixtures were released. Why leave it until now?
  21. Not another BIG club, who do they think they are?! Birmingham!
  22. Can't say I'm surprised though. I'm sure he says it about every Prem team anyway, they are a BIG club afterall. Numpties
  23. Plus I'm sure they'll be smarting after going out of Europe in midweek, and wanting to bounce back asap. Hoping for Chelski to spank the Spuds hard we need their goal difference reducing as well. +14 to +2 I think it is at the moment, could prove crucial at the end of the season.
  24. Would like for us to finish in the Top 6, which we are more than capable of, so we can snag a UEFA place. Or failing that, as long as we finish above Everton & Boro, for the Intertoto. Either way we'll have exceeded expectations at the beginning of the season, and the extra coffers for finishing higher, will come in very handy for next season, so we can build on a very fine season.
  25. Well at least Dickov could have a welcome return. Played part of the reserves, so could be in the squad for Sat, but definitely should be back for the remainder of games.
